The actual hip hop review

Ken with the weird haymaker. He also was the only one not feeling Bandana either due to production disconnect (but not Pinata). Can't ride with him here but everyone felt Nas performance.

I feel them on Big Sean lol. I'm over my Cass Tech alumni. That last track only floated because of Nip. He needs to GTFO.

But they bust their pants everytime Griselda drops a new album.

No bad energy tho most of them fukked with it. Ken was way off but they called him out for it. He did say he loved everything Nas did tho, he doesn't like the production.

Nastradamus is at the bottom of Nas's catalog because it contains some of his worst songs and is his most inconsistent album. There are some redeemable songs on the album, but there's some garbage too ("Big Girl"). "Project Windows" is one of his best songs though. I think "You Owe Me" was dope, but just a weird song to close with. I never liked "Nastradamus".

The only album ratings that make sense are for those that are deemed classic because they've stood the test of time.

Will KD stand the same test of time as well as Illmatic, IWW, God Son and Stillmatic?

I don't think so.

All the classic Nas albums have a sense of urgency and franticness that's missing from KD. That's kind of fukked up because it implies Nas is in a good place mentally right now, which ironically affects some artists negatively.

So while the pen is sharp as ever, hes not really hittin me in my chest with this one.

What the fukk is people’s problem with Big Sean? Why are people picking him out of the line up to shyt on when his verse was dope? What was wrong with his verse??
Just thought some of his lines was corny

"You talk a little sweet about me, a lot of sour"

"I know that you believe in stars
And just like stars, you know your words got a lot of power"

"I'm not your ex, I'm your ecstasy"

His flow was alright tho, maybe its just Nas verse being way better idk

...and you caught that the show "Power" has a bunch of new shows all over the "Starz" network.. as well as the basic "stars are powerful" meaning, right? How is that corny?

Didn't click but salute, sounds about right.

Off topic but people really are sheep, lol, it's not just something that weird conspiracy theorists be saying. Why do people WHO CAN HEAR seek out reviews and critques to be told if an album THEY HAVE ALREADY HEARD is good or not? Why value that? Think about that. Unless it's concerning something I haven't heard yet or a restaurant I've never been to before, etc... then maybe I'd like to check reviews, or rather check what the consensus word is so I can decide if I want to buy it/go there or not. But if I've already experienced the thing myself then why would I possibly care what some reviewer says about it? I value my opinion way more than some random (maybe compromised) reviewer. People love to be led and told what to think by someone...anyone, whether reputable/qualified or not...but that's a whole different topic, this thread is already all over the place, lol.

@Pop123 Not just related to Nas specifically, but I think it's kind of weird that some of the more popular review sites sometimes have more views than the music they're reviewing. lol Like, are there really people willing to listen to someone talk about a five minute song for an hour, but not interested in actually hearing the song?
