Sasuke gets his ultimate redemption, Naruto is seen even more as a god, Neji will be able to live his life without the Hyuuga curse seal and lead the clan in the future. Happy endings for everyone.

This ain't the first time Kishimoto's done something like this. The red pill was supposed to absolutely kill Chouji back in part 1, we even got emotional flashbacks and everything. Kishimoto threw that in the bushes. I don't even have to get into Nagato's resurrection.
