Is naruto a genius because he only needs to know 2 jutsu, or a dumbass because he only knows two jutsu?

naruto is like any shounen main character they are smart enough survive each battle if naruto is a idiot because he knows only 2 jutsus than ichigo an idiot too for spamming the same technique over and over. But, the thing is could naruto have taken down some of the foes sasuke took down like dederia(clay aritist) or danzou. In both battles sasuke intelligence was tested and accurately planned I don't think power can get you a win in those situations.
