This. Revealing Naruto as a "child of destiny" who was prophesied to be great ruined the "anyone can be great if they work hard and believe in themselves" message that the first part had. Seeing Naruto beat Neji was dope because we were rooting for Naruto as an underdog. When other characters told Naruto he was destined to be a failure, he pushed forward and decided to make his own destiny.
The problem is when you come out and say that Naruto actually was destined for greatness from the jump. Now those victories weren't because of hard work and deterimnation, it was just because of a prophecy. Fast forward to the end of the series and the only characters who still matter are all tied to some prophecy or have special bloodlines.
...and Neji dies just like his destiny said he would, just to add insult to injury 
Naruto was great in the first part, but after the timeskip...

at how badly One Piece is slept on in the west. The first couple of arcs were 
but once they get to Arlong Park, the series picks up and gets really good. It might have the GOAT world-building and foreshadowing of any series.
Just skip the damn filler
While these two did massive damage for the culture. You cant be sleeping on gems like Hunter, Sins or Kingdom. Naruto fights are confirmed GOAT.

The Goku vs Frieza fight was like 30 episodes long with like 5 minutes of actual fighting and the rest of them talking, showing them at weird angles, and goku charging up
first of all I know the thread is about the show but if you didn't read the manga you lost.Second of all I'm talking about all the things that had to occur to make this fight happen.
Goku had to travel space while his homies were prey in a hostile environment full of powerful mercenaries ready to kill to find the Dragon Balls. Even when Goku arrived and saved their asses, he was tricked by the enemy and his body was damaged in the process so he had to fully heal to be able to tackle Freezer. Every episode by now ends with Goku in the liquid healing and got a breh like hurry up they bout to die!!
During this time, Freezer is so powerful that Vegeta had to partner up with Krillin and Gohan to have a chance to survive. They all get the beats broke off them but succeed in resuscitating Piccolo, their best hope. They still are getting fukked up, Krillin got a damn horn in his body and Vegeta is close to death, Gohan showed greatness but not enough as Goku finally achieves his full regeneration.
All these fights were build up for the grand finale and Naruto tried it, for example with Pain, but it was way less impactful imo.If this scene didn't have you

Arrives to fight Freezer while Vegeta breathing his last on the ground, even shocks Freezer and got everybody believing he already reached Super Sayian.
