Finally finished.

Only 10 episodes. WTF?????
:mjcry: Now we have to wait 1 year, 2 years for the next season. Damn you Netflix.

I got nothing to add except I really liked the season. Then again I liked every season.

I wish I was a drug dealer. Lol.

The opulence. :lawd: The money. :ohlawd: The power. :whew:

So I read most of this thread

I see Michael Pena getting alot of criticism here but honestly I can't think of any other Mexican American actor with name recognition at the moment.

If they had put a Mexican actor or an American Latino actor who was not of Mexican descent in the show for Kiki, they would get alot heat for doing that.

I thought he did a good job. :ld::manny:

Maybe it was because I watched this mostly after work, but I didn't think it was as good as the first 3 seasons. They also downplayed the torture Kiki was put through to a degree, but I know why. I mean, his family is still alive and you don't want it to be torture porn. His character really wasn't likable though, but I guess they said in real life he was sort of an a-hole. Don Neato was the most interesting person on the show tbh. Dude was like :manny: the whole time. Even the government officials were more boring than the Columbia dudes. But then again, this is the calm before the storm. THe fukkery of Columbia doesn't happen to the same degree without the shyt these dudes did to Kiki.

Felix initially comes off as very intelligent the way he organized the plazas and consolidated power...He's the direct opposite of Pablo, Pablo was of the Al Capone cloth, all about swag and making noise which is why his chapter ended quickly...Felix is of the Meyer Lansky cloth, he understood there is no such thing as good noise in the dope game...The way you outlive the game is by ruling with an iron fist while staying under the radar...

That said I understood why he couldn't off Rafa after son made all that noise, that's his mans, but I cannot understand Felix decision to get involved with cocaine...Everybody knew getting involved with cocaine put an instant target on your head, huge blip on the radar...

Felix had entire cities under his control, governors, police etc...Why fukk that all up getting involved with the high profile powder game when the weed game has been so profitable to you and sustainable? His "if I don't do it somebody else will" line was bullshyt just like Neto said...Yes somebody else will inevitably try to rise up but as long as your people are fed and happy its no threat to you...Looked like weed was feeding everybody well to me...And like the narrator said, weed was low on the US governments priority list, weed was and still is looked at like alcohol was during prohibition...As long as you operate with minimal noise it can be a sustainable business...

I understand Felix keeping Rafa around, only thing connecting him to the old life, the tranquil life while he was changing into the godfather. Acosta ( who is beyond chill) talks about it in the truck to the boss of the sky's when they went searching for the lost truck with the coke. The money vs people talk which was a ridiculously deep ass chat. Rafa grounds Felix.

As for him getting into the coke, I get it. The talk he and Kiki had revealed his decision also that picture he keeps around always reveals why he did it.

His wife died and he was never the same like a caricature of himself. Always walking around with the picture of his wife, that's why it was so easy to dismiss his whole family and new wife like it was nothing.

He was going to kick in lives teeth and always get ahead of life as best as he could.
Like he said his skill set is seeing the end results of shyt with Kiki.

To me, Felix is by far the most complicated and calculated person on narcos. If he was running a legal corporation he been on the cover of some magazine year and we would be writing and quoting him for business advice.
