This presupposes that you can temper the racist bloodlust of an officer who stops you by acting in a courteous and respectable fashion. It’s a dangerous bit of “advice” that would get many black people killed if they followed it.
No it doesn't. It presupposes that you KNOW cops are being conditioned to fear and and target black men and that acting in a courteous and respectable fashion, while also being aware of your rights gives you a better chance of making it home than trying to make a stand right then and there.

I'm not gonna post the long video, but this cat wasn't doing anything wrong, the cop was CLEARLY power tripping on him and hoping to cash in on some stop and frisk bullshyt, but he made a stand on his rights right then and there, something that we SHOULD be able to do, something that a white man would 9 times outta 10 get away with without backup being called, but he gained nothing from 20-30 minutes of talking and basically telling the cop to go fukk himself and in the end, his professor had to come in, verify he lived there so they could move on and start the process of getting this cac fired, which is exactly what they did. Had he not been on a college campus, he might have gotten his head blown off.

That answer is COMPLETELY out of touch and misses the point of giving your son a protocol that increases his chances of making it home safely. This is the political, fake woke answer that you love I'm sure, but it ain't advice. A black father/mother (or anybody with some fukking sense) would FIRST ensure your safety, not coddle you and tell you that it ain't your fault that you get pulled over before it even happens...some nikkas get pulled over for legit reasons, it doesn't mean they deserve to die though, yet a lot of them do. And being compliant and self aware is your best bet.
Your ego or "manhood" isn't worth your life my G. Just listen to the cop and live another day. I've had encounters where I was telling them I know my rights and wasn't being all friendly and they treated me like shyt, threw my car mats and belongings on the street while they checked my entire car making a huge mess. After they finished they told me to hurry the hell up and clean up because there's traffic. There wasn't. I've also had encounters where I kept calling him sir and kept apologizing and it was quick and easy. Unless something changes that's just how it's going to be.
