Getting sued doesn't mean she's guilty of lifting the script. People sue for everything. Other than kids killing kids for sport, what do they have in common. That's like saying any movie involving going another planet and encountering aliens is a rip off of Alien. There's a difference between premise and plot. But if you're stuck on that, even the killing for sport angle is played differently.

I just don't get why movies about war, superheroes, terrorists, ancient warriors, corrupt cops, or the mafia aren't considered rip-offs of each other but movies like this are. But I get it, you think it is, and so do many others. Let's just agree to disagree.

I think in terms of Robocop, it depends on what you're trying to do with the material. Verhoven was satirizing the violence of the 80s and just the culture of the 80s and an arms race between America and Russia and what it could all lead to. Robocop doesn't NEED to be violent for it to work, it needs to have biting satire and Robocop 3 lacked that. Robocop 2 had it but it was still off to me.

R is not automatically gonna make a movie better A Good Day to Die hard and Prometheus where R and are bad. shyt movies are shyt movies. With that said though, if I had the choice between making a R rated Terminator and a pg-13 rated Terminator i'd go R.

I honestly thought World War Z was a disappointment because of the PG-13 rating, the movie had a certain suspense that i thought was great but it never really did go the whole way through. And i honestly didn't see any close shot violence/blood or horror in it. Just a suspense feeling, Brad Pitt with his perfect hair traveling around for a cure and pepsi commercials could be a brief description of the movie.

Total Recall and Robocop remakes showed why PG13 is inferior to R pretty well . It depends on the genre too....obviously comic books do PG13 well because the source material is already targeted to that age group. The problem people have is when u take R rated source material and dumb it down to PG13....its pretty simple. Horror movies I can't really take seriously if they're PG13 either....only thing u can do at that point is lame jump scares.

Horror is the only genre that should be exclusive to an R rating, these movies are supposed to scare you, its hard to scare people when you dont ever see anything scary... I'm sorry 5 year old white girls/boys dont scare me. Too many movies rely on possesed little kids to be the big scary monster..... Are white people that afraid of their kids
