You didn't fukk with the sixth sense? And I said it before but if Halloween was released today it would probably be PG 13 or if it got an R, it wouldn't be for gore and blood
Sixth sense was good for one watch only, it was cool, but now every movies has creepy little kids and im over it

It's not just the creepy kids, it's the idea that you can build terror and suspense without relying on blood and gore because after a while, you can become desensitized to that shyt and it doesn't do anything.

I just think the genre needs to reinvent itself, it may be easier said than done, but there are other ways to scare people. The jump scences and the creepy kids, have been done to death. I think the suspense movies are the new horror movies, where they rely on real situations and normal well normal looking people..

So again I go back to what I said since you're agreeing with me in a way: Halloween would be PG 13 if it came out in 2014

how are you going to do a pg-13 chest bursting scene? The chest burst scene is literally one of the most iconic scenes in film history.

I dont know :patrice: this scene from poltergeist IMO was just as gruesome and poltergeist was a PG movie (no PG13 rating back then)

R is not automatically gonna make a movie better .
yes it is :what:

because if they wanted, they could make the exact same movie. R can only limit, and not improve a movie (as in holding certain elements back)

I know I said this before but I feel like it really depends on the director. An R rating means nothing if the guy behind the camera has no idea what he's doing or if he's just not that good at it. No Uwe Boll flick is going to be better because it's got an R rating. Poltergeist is a great movie and it's PG or PG 13. Didn't need to be R to have some genuinely scary scenes or just creepy imagery like that damn clown

Wwz...ive only seen the directors cut but ive heard from many sourea that going back made them improve the suspense making it a better film. The extra gore wasnt needed and made it appeal outside of zombie nuts

Zombie movies dont have to be brain soup gorefests its making the genre better.

And lmao at harry potter being R come on breh.

make a zombie apocalypse movie based on millions of beings that literally eat the flesh of other people and never show any blood or gore, brehs...great movie right there. :rudy:
