I'm biased tho.

Alot of these foreign cities don't build or never have built old school neighborhood-single family homes. Or they started off with them and tore them down and replaced them with denser high rises over the course of years. American cities, even NYC, will have the traditional neighborhoods as well the downtown-high density areas. Alot of cities don't have this type of single family home concept unless you drive way out to the outter suburbs???
If anything America NEEDS more of these mega cities. Them Asian cities make NYC look like shyt.
Mostly true. Jardins is an entire neighborhood of residential single family homesSao Paulo, that's mostly about the housing they build and have establishd as they don't really have residential single family homes with a front and back yard.
Good post as I wondered about their residential area. I've actually been to Rio once and it was pretty much high density housing outside of the favelas which were in the hills above but when we taxied out to Barra for the day we found it to be very suburban and sort of Miami-ishMostly true. Jardins is an entire neighborhood of residential single family homes
Very suburban
They show these up close in depth on the Netflix show "The Innocent". They look really immaculate from aboveIf we're going on the most aesthetically pleasing cities to view from a high altitude, then Barcelona takes that.
Lol at chicago being the goat in america
NYC' only competition is china in the skyscraper regard
but no city in the world combines iconic with architecture and cluster on NYC's level
Soon cities will be competing with Downtown Brooklyn and long island city. Both are the future of the new york skyline
right now NYC is building like a young city that still has something to prove. There's about 10+ supertalls being planned or built as we speak. Brooklyn is building a scraper damn near the height of the empire state building, again..... as we speakhe mad because people saying Chicago , y’all
The insecurity always rears its head with these people
That's what I look for most in a skyline. The one other thing I consider is geography. For example, I like Pittsburg's skyline because of the rivers that surround it. Cincinnati's skyline looks good from certain angles due to the rivers and tall hills that surround it.The best modern designed buildings from an architectural standpoint but overrated as a whole (been there a few times).
America will have more mega cities soon. Texas cities will be joining the NYC, LA, Chicago league eventually.
What are these?
I like London skyline the best

What is Chicago doing?
And who are "these people"
nycs skyline is a growing entity, unlike Chicago's foreseeably stagnant oneYou sound like a goofy. Most of NYC is a wall of buildings, too. Like Sao Paulo.
Every architectural expert ranks the design of Chicago over NYC.
Granted, there are beautiful aspects of the NYC skyline. Central Park, Lower Manhattan. The Empire State adds dimension from Midtown. But overall, there is no structure to the NYC skyline. Just mass.
If you find a mass block of buildings appealing, well then yeah NYC beats Chicago.
