The fans issue with Rae from 99-04 was the wack ass beats he’d been choosing on his solo albums. Its ironic how he had to go back to the drawing board WITH RZA for Cuban Linx 2 and get that spark back.

Naaah they def top 5 unless you're not including solo projects, but I don't see how you can't.
They started a global movement, made arguably the greatest song in history, CREAM. They have undeniable classics. Set a lot of trends. Were the first group to have a successful clothing line. RZA has so many classic beats. Ghostface is top 5 MC. Meth might have the goat flow in history. Cuban Linx is a top 10 album. Naaaah they def top 5
He mostly just praised GZA's pen, and admired his knowledge of the Five-Percent Nation. Made it sound like GZA did his own thing in Brooklyn. He also mentioned GZA in the rappers on Shaolin Vs Wu-Tang as the ones that don't agree with RZA.@Barney Rubble so raekwon is a hater and U-God is grumpy, I would love to see them in a room and talk about things lol. He say anything about GZA in the book.
He has one but Rae's not the narrator. He does talk to his son between chapters, though.Hope he does an audiobook of this. I highly recommend Prodigy’s autobio in audiobook form. It brings an extra element to hear them tell the story.
Hard to harp on beat quality and then ruin years of your solo career rapping over lazy beats from no name producers. There was a dope Pete Rock beat on his second album, plus I like Live From NY...but just about everything else was lazy RZA imitations. Sample some strings from a movie and throw drums under it, completely missing the vibe of RZA's shyt. I still don't know how they got that Jurassic Park theme song sample cleared lol.
none of that really sounds like or overly exaggerated, so I can believe it
I can definitely see it all being the case, especially the shyt about affiliates.
How would you feel if people you didn't even know was claiming your group name? One point just confirmed who I thought Ghost was talking about in that unreleased Wu documentary from GZA.
Ghost: Them non-descript nikkas...they never made nothing!
Man...not even gonna lie, I'd be tight if I was in one of them groups. Main nikkas dropping dud after dud after Forever but affiliates kept that flag standing with quality albums
That's not true cause in this most recent one he said Rza and Power stole from them on the Wu Wear deal. Maybe in the interview you are speaking on he didn't wanna slander the brother but I believe he did take money from the members and robbed them. Some lying going on. Rae said Power stole from him on the IceWater deal? In the Vlad interview he EMPHATICALLY said Power never robbed him.
No he did not, let's be honest. RZA's beats fell way off overtime, I mean you heard that better tomorrow shyt he made.Facts. He needed RZA.
Yeah, breh, that's how Rae made it sound They were real close in the beginning and became best friends but over the years it sounded like Ghost had a lot of personal problems. Plus, he had his own career, so each time they'd see each other a lot of time had passed. Rae wanted Ghost there for Cuban Linx 2 like he was on part 1, but ghost only showed up to the studio for his verses. Rae wasn't mad and understood, but I'm sure that album would have been even better if the wrote it together like the first one.@Barney Rubble breh you're serious? Ghost and Rae don't really hang out like that?
You could have fooled me. I can't even believe that.
