My PS4 PRO wont allow me to watch 4K content via youtube app

it very well might not be, but wouldn't it still offer the option?
I'm not sure. Netflix doesn't. I have pretty good internet, 60 down, and I can barely stream 4K (it only works like 25% of the time). With these apps, they automatically select for you a lot of the time. With Amazon and Netflix I can't force 4K. Maybe you can on the YouTube app, I haven't tried, but that could be it.

:mindblown:How is that possible. 4K streaming in Dolby George Lucas digital 12.9 surround sound is supposed to be simple. @Fatboi1 please trouble shoot this mans connection. :dame:

Why would it at this point? The YouTube app is for a normal PS4. They'll have to update and I doubt that's a priority for YouTube.

Yeah mine is doing the same thing. I can stream YouTube in 4K fine on my Samsung Blu-ray player but here it'll show that a video is 4K and just play in HD. Weird.
