How much of an L is Noah's contract mitigated if he retires after this season?
Retire and give up 54 million dollars, brehs.
I doubt that's gonna happen.
They can't rebound defensively with Noah on the court either. Last year, Knicks were ranked 18th in DREB%. This year, they're 29th in that category.
Offensively, they are tops in the league, though.

Stating the obvious I think, but this team is really, really bad defensively, and almost everybody on the team shares some blame in that. I wish Noah was healthy like he was a few years ago, that Noah could help out so much right now. Noah isn't a god awful defender to be fair, but his weak rim protection and non existent offense is just so hard to live with.....

And you got to figure that is why Phil got him. To create a Front court duo of Noah and KP. If Noah wasn't washed that would of been a tough team.
I say our best chance to move him are for his veteran leadership on the Suns (doubtful), thibs getting nostalgic (Less doubtful) or the blazers giving up on Evan Turner and going after any big man they can get (almost not doubtful).
It's not looking like though there is a legit place we can move him. Maybe if we add a second rounder and Lance/Kuz (I would prefer to keep Kuz but it's hypothetical) somebody will bite..... idk. Phil has been pretty good at moving contracts and not getting raped so we'll have to see.
