I'm good off CP3, no more stars on their last legs please, thanks.

if chris paul wants to come here we welcome him here with open arms
lets not overvalue what we have
i love rose so far but hes scoring pg averaging 4 assists a game
paul would be a perfect compliment to melo and kp

I'm surprised to see so many in this thread are still pro-CP3. Yall talk all that shyt about Melo will be past his prime by the time KP hits his...but 32 year old Chris Paul is the answer?? I like CP3. But even with age not withstanding, he's not going to move the needle that much with this team. He doesn't put us on par with the Cavs. The Clippers have everything a championship team needs and they can't even get to the conference finals. I know it's the west. So what? This is only the 3rd year GS has been elite. The Clips have had their chances. What is a core of Melo-CP3-KP gonna do?
I'll take my chances with Rose if he stays healthy. Jennings has been feening to play for NY since he came in the league so hopefully he comes back too. Somebody might offer more $ and a starting position tho. :martin: You ask me he's found his niche with this team. Energizer lead guard off the bench. Highly effective in limited minutes. 35+ mins a night for BJ? :patrice: And if his wild ass is my starter, what's my back up looking like??:merchant:

Rose and Jennings complement each other well, playing together or separately. You have your attacker, bucket getter in Rose. Your playmaker in BJ. We could have worse problems. We could be starting Calderon and Vujacic with Langston Galloway backing up both! Oh...that was last year :whew:
:what: paul is better than rose in ever aspect of basketball
what am i hearing

That wasn't the question. And....he's not better in every aspect.
Answer the question you bolded in my post: What is a CP3-Melo-KP core gonna do? Dude has Blake, DJ, a knockdown shooter in Reddikk, & 6th man of the millenium in Jamal Crawford and can't get past the 2nd round. Never even been in a conference final in his life. But you think with him and Melo on the wrong side of 30, plus KP who is another year at least away from big dog status, NY can contend in the east? Did the Cavs die? Melo is gonna get his lift back?

And don't confuse anything I'm saying to mean that Rose makes us a contender. But why pair KP with an aging PG? CP3 is a lateral move IMO when we have Rose/Jennings. We need Rose to do what he does. BJ is the facilitator we need.

From January till May,

New York's marketing and PR team need to get both Jennings and Rose into as much commercials, billboards, NY exposure as possible.

This isn't 1999 anymore and the internet is the biggest mover regarding recognizability but you have to try everything to create a story wonderful enough to make both willing to sacrifice a couple mill for the millions they may recoup in exposure.

They also need to get NY fans involved in very unique "Chicago Cubs" like loyalty exposition.

I don't know how much they are in tune w/ fans but let them see fans who worship New York's "New Explosive Knickerbocker Backcourt".

Nah no disrespect but what they gotta do is keep winning, fukk all that other shyt lol. None of that other stuff matters if the losses pile up

CP3 would be a great fit on this team, but his age is enough to make you weary even though it doesn't look like he's lost much of a step this year. Plus, Chris Paul is gonna get like 30+ mil a year, imagine giving a 36 year old that type of money? no thanks, chances are his game declines significantly by then. So I'm gonna just hope Rose keeps working out and look for the Knicks to resign him on a reasonable deal. After that, maybe the Knicks can unload a couple contracts to make a run at Blake Griffin or something. I know I'm getting ahead of myself and it probably won't happen, but it's fun to imagine a Rose/Lee/Anthony/Griffin/KP line up out there:blessed:
