Fans (like you) & the media have been sh*ttin on Melo since the Linsanity.
NBA is not the NFL and Parcells was the coach not the team president...He should be doing other things than criticizing his players thru the media....Honestly what other team president criticizes other teams players and then his own randomly...Its not a good look for the Knicks.
Melo gets shytted on because the team has been awful and he's been the constant piece in place.
The Knicks have sucked for so long and everyone has gotten the kid glove treatment its about time they did it differently imo. Do not care about Melo's feelings.
Phil has as much to do with that as anyone.
Its not about Melo's feelings,you just dont handle business that way...It reflects poorly on the entire organization around the league,other potential free agents and players see this kind of shyt...Its bigger than a players feelings.

Phil's contracts he's handed out are much more problematic than his constructive criticisms of the team.

Phil wasnt necessarily wrong about what he said about Melo.
The timing of it though is awful. Why wait until the team was playing its best basketball of the season to criticize the star player.
