Seriously brehs,

What would work?

Move KP and rose to the bench and move Melo to power forward?

Starting lineup
Brandon Jennings
Courtney Lee
Justin Holiday
Carmelo Anthony
Joakim Noah

Bench
Derrick Rose
Ron Baker
Kuzmingas
KOQ
kristaps Porzingis

I really like that proposal I'd keep Lance instead of Kuz though for defense in the second unit. Maybe Kuz goes in for KOQ depending on how things gel for the bench unit.

LOL @ all these mental gymnastics you guys are trying to do to try and make this work. The chemistry is just not there and that was the gamble the Knicks took when they got Rose.

Again it is very early so I am not going to go crazy, but I hope you guys are miserable watching this team after not paying attention. It is painfully obvious what needs to happen with this roster, but will the loyal supporters finally admit it? That's the real question here.

LMFAO @ moving KP to the bench, the kid is our best player!

It's impossible to really look towards the future till Melo's totally off the books.

KP is the future of ya'll franchise. why would u bring him off the bench. if your team is gonna suck, he should play lots of minutes so he can continue to improve. also, I could see drose having a fit if he got benched BTW. dude still thinks he's an MVP candidate in his mind.

Breh just trying to think of lineups that could work together.

I mean we know Melo isn't going to go on the bench.

Maybe move KP to the center position and Noah to the bench?

Jennings
Lee
Holiday
Melo
KP?

Rose
Baker
Thomas
KOQ
Noah

:russ: at the thought of Melo agreeing to come off the bench. He'd force a trade before agreeing to that role.
Time to put Melo on the bench then. He likes hardware, tell him he will win 6th man of the year this way.

It's way too premature of starting KP at the 5. Team rebounding numbers have been really bad with him as a center and he can't be the backline of the defense right now the way he's looked. Melo as the 6th man makes much more sense to me, but his ego would get in the way of that. He can feast off of second unit wing defenders while being the vocal point of the offense without worrying about getting others involved. I'd give them 10-15 games before Hornacek should make any kind of drastic change.

Melo's dropping 21 per on 44% from the field and I'm not sure he's solely led the team in attempts in any game (tied with KP in one); I think Rose has been the problem and it makes sense since he had almost no preseason. But there's also no excusing KP's defense and letting him get away with poor habits without punishment is not going to benefit him. He needs to get hit with benching when he does that like any other 20 year old, so if his effort keeps being trash on D, he needs to hit the bench temporarily as a wake up call.

Not to mention he's in a contract year. He's playing for money and will be pissed coming off the bench for Jennings :heh:

THIS MAY BE THE WORST DEFENSIVE TEAM IVE EVER SEEN.

THEY GIVE UP SO MANY EASY BUCKETS
ON SIMPLE ASS PLAYS.

THIS MAY BE THE WORST BENCH IN THE NBA ALSO.

THEY SHOULD HAVE TOOK THAT NOAH MONEY
AND GOT SOME DEPTH.

I NEVER LIKED THAT SIGNING
BECAUSE I SAW HIM WASHED
THE LAST 2 YEARS.

As much as criticism as Melo has gotten for his defense so far (most of it deserved), Porzingis has been equally or if not worse than him. I only watched the first quarter of this game fully and occasionally flipped between the World Series and the knicks game, but his effort in the last two games has been really disappointing. The first quarter alone I saw him give up two wide open three pointers Anderson, failed to fight over a back screen that gave Capela an easy dunk, and provided no help on Harden which allowed him to waltz into the lane for an easy dunk. If his defensive woes persist, he can sit his ass on the bench. :camby:
The development of KP should still be the team's number one priority though. Can't have him only taking four shots out there while Melo and Rose are out there pounding the ball.
