I think it's fear/concern of the fallout going forward. Youngn's and draft picks flapping in the wind right now. The only good thing Phil did was not compromising those 2 things, other than that, don't let the door hit ya...
Phil was the one alienating the youth and draft picks, whether directly or indirectly by hiring inept coaches, coaches who were fukking the young players girl friends, or talented coaches he forced a system upon. Melo would most likely be gone if not for Phil. The fact that the moment nikkas find out Phil is gone they start bytching and bringing up the dumb, Frank Isola-ish, when in doubt say "CAA" bullshyt, shows me there's a huge contingent of our fanbase who derives pleasure from being miserable bytches. I swear nikkas live in the back pages of the Daily News around here:scust:

I think it's just mixed emotions, you're casting a broad stroke, but we all been in this together and will possibly continue to bear it, so I don't see the need to shyt on anybody for seeing the bitter/sweet in this. We all just waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Nope. Dolan has been hands off with the Knicks and Rangers since the mid 00's. The only difference is the Ranger's have someone good running the operation, and the Knicks have kept on missing. Dolan will just hire someone else and hand over all authority to them like he's been doing the last decade.
Not exactly. Dolan has and always meddled with the Knicks. He's all about getting that big name, even if they're past their prime.
Hockey teams are a little more complex, kinda like a football team, and Dolan has admitted he doesn't really understand that process.
Obviously he doesn't understand NBA team building either, but he's too oblivious to see that.

I don't know about you but I'm pretty excited about giving up a pick for a guy who just gave up picks for Ibaka and PJ Tucker, after maxing out Demure Carroll, clearly what this team needs

I consider that the first step to us maxing out Lowry..... after we trade them a first for Masai

Phil said the team was rebellious , and that falls on him.
True, as someone his position he’s supposed to lead by example and he didn’t/couldn’t do that. It’s only natural for those under you to not do the same. Melo and KP never came out sideways too but they showed pushback for a lot of the immaturity Phil showed.

And he drafted Frank Ntilikina over Dennis Smith Jr. Because he wanted Frank Ntilikina to run the Triangle. :mjlol:

From a Mavericks fan. I want to say thank you Phil Jackson. :blessed:

Finally a little moral victory for the fans. But our future is so cloudy now, I have no idea what our next move is. This should of happened before the draft and we should of drafted what Hornacek and Mills wanted. Not saying Frank won't be good, but let's be honest he was drafted to fit Phil's Triangle. Hopefully this means Rambis is gone as well.

I definitely think the next hire has to be a fan favorite. We have gone through so much these last few yrs and especially last few months. Would love to explore ideas of possibly getting someone like Jeff van Gundy or even someone like Kenny Smith who has been looking to get into management.
