Let him come off the bench, he's not hurting us in salary or taking away shots and minutes from younger players.
he's not...but we know who or what he is.
if we could get anything for him....you just gotta keep taking chances on young players.
we aint going no where with him...if we could get a 2nd round pick and filler for him...id do it.

All we can do is hope, Breh.

Luck is such a big part of this. I mean, the Cubs fans eventually got peace...Ours is coming, right?

Right?:feedme:

Yea, I dislike Phil. I think he's a fukkboy for how disrespectful and unprofessional he's been.

However, some time of stability might help us in the long run.

I shiver at imagining the damage Phil could do if he isn't given the extension and goes full "NBA2K GM" mode on some what do I have to lose shyt.:picard:

I'm truly hoping that wherever we draft, we draft well.

As @storyteller said, just do the right things moving forward with the resources we have.:sadcam:

When we eventually win. Cocaine and hoes for 12 months. Every day. Can't wait 50 more years tho.

If anything we should wait till trade deadline to see which teams get desperate and need a SG, injuries happen and we can possibly get a better deal for Lee

When we win, I'd say high quality cocaine the night of the chip and the day of the celebration. :ahh:

But yes, definitely a few bad jawns who aren't bound by society's rules of control over women's sexuality. :banderas:

Might take that trip to Bolivia or Portugal that Summer. :lawd:

Which teams do you think fit the bill for most likely to consider Lee a moderate/high value addition to their roster?

I'm still confused why everyone wants Lee gone?

Good veteran player, he's on a cheap contract 4/40 mil.

Decent defender, good 3pt shooter.

I don't wanna flip him for a late first rounder and definitely not a 2nd rounder. If we can get a top 20 pick, then yes go ahead

In all likelihood we're not going win-now again. His value will only drop as an asset because of his age and honestly Justin Holiday seems poised to replicate a lot of what Lee gives you. So trading Lee for more youth is a way of getting more long term pieces in place, getting the most value for Lee and also a way to focus next year on building for the future. On top of that, this draft has some really interesting cats that could be available between 20-30...Dwayne Bacon, Luke Kennard and Justin Jackson as really intriguing wings to me and then I want a PF so I'm eyeing Caleb Swanigan and OG Anunoby also.

Phil has done a bad job so far( That Noah signing is one of the worst moves made in the past few years:why:), but the situation he's created is still salvageable and he keeps Dolan at bay, so if Phil can pull of some slick shyt this summer I'll be fine with him sticking around for two more years:manny:

Phil's best trick so far has been taking swings at vets that give the team a shot to surprise and win but also leaving flexibility in future cap space and picks so that he's never trapped like he was in that first offseason. He's done a bad job winning games, but he's done a good job preserving flexibility which is something no NYK GM has managed to do in some younger posters lifetimes.

Trading Lee to the Pelicans makes the most sense. Win now team in desperate need of 3&D players to surround their core of AD, Boogie and Jrue. Probably means NO would have to unload one of Ajinca, Moore or Hill, but if they include a first (lottery protected presumably)/multiple seconds, it's worth making that trade.

A lot of chicks gonna get pregnant the night the knicks win a chip:wow:

Also Phil needs to stop forcing the triangle, let hornacek do his thing and hire his people. Lastly Rambis gots to go:birdman:

Time to start talking offseason. Looking at about 26 million in cap space, a draft pick that even if it falls to 8 or 9 will give us a good prospect, two seconds to grab developmental pieces, KP/Willy and some young guys to develop more and a handful of movable contracts since this team is likely to reset. Lee, KOQ, Lance and of course Melo should all be on the block. The cap space I believe would be better served facilitating trades where teams that eagerly want a FA pay us in assets to take guys off their hands. Then we should also eye some players that could be available due to roster logjams (ie: the Nurkic trade for Portland was a boon). I really think Barton is gonna be available. Turning Lee into a pick and chasing Barton hard would be great. I want to make a FA push at Teodosic, our euro roster might be enticing and NYC still has pull with players overseas. A good draft and those guys won't turn things around immediately; but they'll start to lay the groundwork for a sustained quality squad. That's especially true if Lee, KOQ, Lance, Melo go out for youth and picks.

Barton might be a place for value. Obviously, at the moment, our prospect outlook has shifted from great, to alright.

We went from top 3 or 4 to Mudiay/Stanley Johnson/Vonleh/ Trey Burke territory.

That does not mean there are NO good players, it just means the likelihood of picking a really good one has diminished, greatly.

Free agency money should be focussed on younger/high upside players who the initial market overlooks. Take a look at some similar options from abroad.

No doubt, his eye for talent is pretty good. His way of handling the media is shytty and unprofessional as hell. If he can nail this draft with great talents, we'll be in good shape.

Well, no -- we'll still be a shyt team, with only a few starter level players to build around. But it's better than the alternative.

Phil's best trick so far has been taking swings at vets that give the team a shot to surprise and win but also leaving flexibility in future cap space and picks so that he's never trapped like he was in that first offseason. Yeah, but MOST of that flexibility has come from an increased cap. He doesn't get credit for that. He blew a significant chunk of money on Joakim, which is a total and complete disaster.

I don't even hate phil, I just wish he was better.

the bucks could use someone like him. a vet that has good shooting and plays defense....he's better than their other options at the 2 for sure.
kris middleton is a 3
new orleans as well.....they need consistent role players to surround ad and cousins badly...they need as much spacing as they can get for those two big men...and he does that.
