Know who's NOT down with the Tank? Hornacek.
Smart dumb nikkasWhy do you always try and throw that no one knows the game point in your post. Thr poster you quoted said that melo hurting KP game is a fallacy by a lot of people on this board . You just decided to make bunch of points up to argue that @seemorecizzy didn't say
Also we are fans he didn't make us win or lose tonight and hurt our chances actually KP beasting is what hurt us
Horn is a yes manIt's not supposed to be up to him. This is when management is supposed to step in, and guide his hand. Coaches coach to win. Players play to win. Somebody two levels up is supposed to step in, and start benching guys, or influencing rotations, so they can figure out what they have.
There is no salvaging win/loss record, dummy. The time for that passed 35 games ago.
This is some real shyt.Sup fellas? Yall in here about to claw each others eyes out over tanking philosophy as if your feelings for or against really matter.
Know who's NOT down with the Tank? Hornacek. Who else? Oh just about every player on the roster! Yall want the players and coaches to think like fans and "do what's best for the team. The long term rebuild!"
Think about that. A lot of these dudes know they're tradebait or won't be resigned. Why oh why I ask do you think they'd give a fukk about the Knicks draft position this summer? They're out there tryna prove their worth. This might be news to yall but.......Lance Thomas does not think he's a bum!!
Hornacek clearly isn't thinking about ping pong balls or he wouldn't be playing Rose and Melo and other vets. He's tryna salvage his win loss record. You think his pride is telling him "No Jeff, lose more games. A 19 year old is on his way to save you"? His seat has to be hot. No way he's thinking he's good all the way thru next season. So yeah, why tank when the moment Phil can install a crony that won't talk back, he will?
Free yourselves and stop giving so much of a shyt about a team that gives no such shyt about you in return. It's liberating! Root...be a fan...I still am a Knick fan. Don't watch no mufukkin games. But I like em. I guess. But if they never get their shyt together? Oh well. Don't affect my coins, health, or family.
This thread used to be fun .
Are you whiteStop it.
The amount of "OOOOH LOOK KP WAS TRASH AGAIN WITHOUT MELO" and "Ooooh look, kp finally played good with melo on the floor" posts we have to slog through, as these kids work through their feelings, is hilarious.
Melo's presence on the floor helps KP.
Trying to build around Melo INSTEAD of KP hurts KP.
Why is that difference so hard for some of you to delineate? Is it on purpose? Like it or not, Porzingis represents the future of the franchise, and Melo represents the failed past. That's just he way it broke.
How many times are these guys gonna post that "KP flopped' this season - when he improved his efficiency in all the major categories, WITH a more than 15% increase in minutes.
- He established himself as a top 3 defender at the rim.
- He raised his FG%
- he raised his 3pt%,
- He's getting to the line more
- he's shooting 12 points higher around the basket -- and this team somehow found a way to LOWER his usage rate.
This idea that Porzingis flopped is a FALLACY, and it has exists mainly on message boards like this, where guys don't bother - or purposely avoid - doing the research to back up a talking point.
And if you're using strawmen posts by some random idiot to defend your "see, guys are saying melo hurts him" argument, you already lost.
The sad fact is, this team has shyt talent. It's star player isn't a star anymore. It's next in line isn't ready, and they don't have the talent across the board to beat teams. Not this season, and not next season either.
That is the price you pay for trying to slap bandaids on a gunshot.
This is why I say guys don't know what they're talking about -- because they don't. They don't understand the business of basketball. They don't understand fitment. They don't understand schemes or roster building or the salary cap. They have been refusing to see what was right in front of them for three seasons now.
They were seriously talking about top 4 seeds in the east, in the lead up to - and even 20 games or so INTO this season.
And make no mistake, when I say "they" -- I'm definitely talking about you.
This. It's not just about "losing" -- it's about doing what is best longterm for the team. Why is Derrick Rose still in the game? You can't trade him. Any injury would CRIPPLE his next contract's value. Why is courtney lee playing 30 minutes? You know his game. Play baker and randle, see if Ndour is a back of the rotation big. Bring up Jovanovic or Lamb -- offer a 10 day to Moreland or Jackson or Vander Blue.
Get some guys in here that could help fill out a roster, while you try to acquire top-end talent.
It's really funny. And they wonder why the "vibe" in the thread changes. It's because they're out here acting like the pettyweight champions of the world.
You were wrong about this team. You hoped it would go one way, and it went the other. Cut your losses and get over it. Stop harboring feelings because you didn't know what you were talking about.
In life, we're all in that position, multiple times. At least this was only about your favorite basketball team. Examine why you were wrong, and become a more informed fan. That's how I started before I was covering or working in the game.
Being wrong is more informative than being right. And it has the added bonus of being able to stop hoping things work out for melo here, and weirdly hating on porzingis - who is the best thing your team has going.
Can't make wine w/ sour grape, imo
Are you white
You come off very smug and spoiled
Melo helps KP's game when they are on the floor together
End of story
If he can improve this year, and play solid last year, he can continue to improve in the following years with melo on the the floor as his game improves and he hopefully develops into a star naturally, something he isn't right now.
In your opinion, it's better to throw him out there dolo like they did Okafor in philly and hope he figures it out. I think the idea is flawed but I can respect your opinion and not go on the emotional rants you go on
Melos pretty much gone anyway so we shall see how it goes. again.
What ? You wrote all this but your responding to ghosts And point I didn't make in this postStop it.

Smug for sure. But everything is earned.

In theory, definitely!

.
He's white.
But his arrogance and smugness, I'm going to believe, comes from upbringing and who or whatever may have hurt him
