def see a lot more potential with willy going forward then with KP :sas2:

hornaceck really fd up wit the way y'all used rose this year .. he could have played him x willy together a lot this year and ran the pnR constantly while melo and kp were on the bench .. bad coaching :snoop:

Spread Love - The Player Way
Kp had a breakout rookie season with melo on the court

up until december he was playing even better and was averaging more points and rebounds (20 and 9 ) with melo on the floor

so yes, he can grow as a player without being a number 1 option

ask kawhi leonard

KP got hurt, probably got a little fatigued, and played like trash for 2 months and was never the same

thats on him, no one else

stop giving him passes
cmon my nikka
kawhi has been the de facto best player on the spurs since he won that finals mvp 4 years ago
duncan was a figurehead at that point...and took the reins from TP
also not everyone can have the opportunity to develop under one of the GOAT coaches.

dont have eyeballs brehs :mjlol:
Why do you always try and throw that no one knows the game point in your post. Thr poster you quoted said that melo hurting KP game is a fallacy by a lot of people on this board . You just decided to make bunch of points up to argue that @seemorecizzy didn't say
Also we are fans he didn't make us win or lose tonight and hurt our chances actually KP beasting is what hurt us :heh:
the point he's trying to make as have others is...melo being here on this franchise in this current state is like putting a bandaid on a bullet wound. sure you might stop the bleeding...but eventually you're gonna have to get the bullet out, clean that bytch out thoroughly and start the healing process fully and correctly.
now if you're an actual knick fan...and not a fan of just players you'd let it go.

I went from dreaming of Fultz taking over NYC or Ball turning KP into a fully fledged weapon like few PG's in the league could to hoping Dennis Smith Jr doesn't workout his way into the top five in a single night. The consolation prizes are good enough for me to not throw too big a fit...I'll take Frank and hope we focus fully on development while organically getting in on the Doncic sweepstakes next season for the ultimate Euro squad...but Fultz or Ball would be a revelation and Jackson would give us a premium player to match-up with the best players currently rocking. So that win hurt.

That said, Detroit has been so bad lately that I guess it was wishful thinking that had me thinking we could make them look good again. They're losing to the Nets and Magic fam, losing to them is an accomplishment right now. It's incredible that they're so close to the 8th seed, dudes really seem like they just don't want to face Cleveland and are tanking better than the actual tank teams.

I'm fully signed on for the rebuild...:hubie:

But if y'all - in the pursuit for the lottery again - bytch and moan about every win next season, starting from game 1 it's going to be some lame, torturous shyt.:dahell:

I def understand this late in the season and with only a few games left but damn.

There are certain things that are based in reality...

Knicks aren't losing EVERY GAME. They will lose MOST, chill.

Every made shot and every scarce win is like brehs are getting their fingernails ripped off.:scust:

Again, I get it, we want the best draft position but being emotional about KP's pleasant stat line or a made Willy post play is a little much, y'all.

This has been a masterful tank job towards the end of the year, just when a 10th pick was looking likely the Knicks have fought their way into the top 4. Getting any of the top 3 picks will be a major win, if they win the lottery I don't want to hear anything from @Mr. Jack Napier about tanking ever again

I wish my team was in a position to get a top 3 pick :to:

My frustration is mainly that Baker and Randle played 15 mins and 1 minute while Rose and Lee played 30+; Kuz got 14 while Melo played 30+...The coach said he'd be resting the vets to give the young guys a better shot at earning a spot on next year's roster but he threw that away to chase a completely meaningless win. It's more important to see and develop the young cats right now, that's better for the long term and should shape offseason decisions but we're still playing known commodities big minutes when they actually could use the rest if we have any interest in keeping them through next season.

Breh, I absolutely understand that.

My thing is, next year, without Rose and Melo, we'll have KP and a new young floor general at the helm and I'll be excited to root for the young guys, knowing it'll still be about gathering new young talent...

I'm hoping brehs aren't bytching every scarce game we win.:picard:

Scenario:
The oldest age on the roster is 27 next year.

Middle of season, Knicks have won only 15 games.

KP hits a game winner.

Response: "WHAT THE fukk ARE THEY DOING?!":dwillhuh::pacspit:

I'll be like okay, I'm out, this is absurd.:snoop:

Told y'all this tank shyt isn't easy :yeshrug:

The last 10 games of the season are extremely hard to lose all games and not for the tanking weak. You got other teams tankin hard. You got the top teams resting guys hoping to not getting injured. Teams making the playoffs resting guys

It's nearly impossible to land a successful tank consistently the last 10 games with everyone else sitting key players

The Suns did it the right way, sat Bledsoe and just play all their young guys.

How you can be against the tank this far into the season is beyond me. We ain't doing nothing, the season has been a wrap for us for a long time now. It's time to get us a young point guard. Phil need to stop playing and get this tank right. If we screw it up at the last minute:snoop:
@Mr. Jack Napier out here acting like a petty baby momma, he a couple of posts away from limiting visitation rights to the garden.

I feel you fam 100%; you know where I've been on this since January...Play the young guys that will be on this roster for the next few years instead of the older cats we're not gonna bring back or are planning on trading anyway. But not because I want to lose on purpose, just because they're our future. It's a tank because those young cats will lose more than they win but if we're winning because of Baker, Kuz, Willy, KP and Randle...that's not something I can be too mad about. When it's Melo, Lee, Lance and/or Rose winning games; at this point that's something I'm not with. Even if Melo refuses to waive the NTC this offseason, there's no need to add mileage to him unnecessarily (god forbid he gets hurt and the options to trade drop from a couple of weak deals to none at all).

Tanklife :pachaha:I'm about that.

But really if we move melo, unless we get a josh Jackson I see them tanking one more year for a sf......

I think we're going to get Ntilikina unless we win a top #3 pick. I also see them trading Melo for scraps and some future picks.

It's a ugly process but look at Boston..... that's the type of moves they made
