@I.V. Do you see any of the same issues I see w/ respect to Porzingis' screens/picks?

From what I see, he never truly commits to the pick and is already on the move before it happens. The only way I can describe it is like when a person is supposed to extend their arm and punch through a target when they throw a punch but he's erroneously snapping his arm back right when he feels contact.

I'm wondering if I'm crazy about what I'm seeing.
hes just slipping a screen...and moving before an over aggressive defense tries to overplay the pick and roll...he does it when he's rolling to the rim ive noticed...and rose never actually gives him the ball...and he's more likely to stick the screen out when he's rolling for a 3 pointer...where rose also doesnt pass him the ball :pachaha:

Looking at the article @I.V. posted,

they indicate is passivity regarding his offensive aggression...

I wonder if him and KP would actually wake each other up out of that passiveness or be a detriment to each other, possibly?:patrice:

Outside of that, I'm sold on him.

I like the fact that the writer mentions his high bball iq regarding analyzing the defense and making the right decisions. He's going to need those young guys like Kuzminskas and Holiday types, who like to move alot without the ball, to maximize his abilities.

Our problem with brehs just standing around waiting will kill that kid. :wow:

Melo will either buy in and actually not wait for the ball in the mid-post or fade into the bench with each passing game when/if we draft him.

First off, FUKK DOLAN for that trump shyt but I wanna talk Phil.

Why are ya'll knocking Phil for? Yeah he is dumb as shyt and fukked over Melo but maybe the non trades are for the better.

I'm sure if Phil got good deals for Melo from clippers, cavs or boston he would of pulled the trigger. I don't want no damn shumpert, Crawford or olynik for Melo and I'm sure that's what they been offering us.

Rose is an expiring contract, Yes I was in for the Rubio trade but something must of fell through for that trade not to happen. Now we can waive this bum or let him walk at the end of the season. No loss or if we strike out with drafting a big time PG we can always trade for a PG like Rubio at the end of the season.

I didn't see any proposed deals for Quinn or Kuz, I'm sure they were crap also, so he said no.

Can't win with us Knicks fan, if phil makes trades for bullshyt we'll be unhappy, if he makes no trade we'll be unhappy.

Our future might not be bright but it damn sure ain't dim, draft picks going forward, cap space (I'm aware of the CBA). If we play this right, this draft we pick up a big time PG and then following year is the year for big men, we can draft a big then. I'm willing to go through another 2-3 year playoff drought if it means we'll have a great young core who can compete after 3years for the next 6-8yrs. \

If phil fukks up this offseason, I want his head. No one said this was going to be an overnight fix, other than his Noah deal, he's been allright in my books.

Problem is, we don't actually have 20 mill in cap next season. It's something like 14. That's not really enough to get something good. At least we would have Rubio can could have drafted either a PG to play alongside him and eventually ahead of him or a really good wing for the future. Now we HAVE to draft a pg or else we're left with possibly BJ as a starter.

Wait how are we left with 14 when rose and BJ are both expiring?

Gotta move someone to offer KCP the max. Lance+ KOQ or Lee the best possibilities. Obviously assuming we don't pull off a miracle and dump Noah.

Honestly moving Lee and Quinn might be easier on Draft night once teams work players out and realize this is like every other draft and guys will need development.

It's weird about Rubio Breh's like the wolves needed that deal more than us. I understand why Phil was like "Gimme some more"

Nah I have seen some of this. I wonder sometimes if he's lack of strength, so he's trying to beat them with a quick release?

I notice a lot on the kncks (and around the league) that the guy setting the screen often dives early, doesn't seal the man, and almost never opens the correct way.

Jrue Holiday ish?

Maybe? With a more advanced jumper at an earlier age?

Yeah, he could be good for the team. If they can slide a little further UP the lottery rankings, I'd like Isaac. I could see a situation where Monk is useful -- some people really love fox, but he's not my favorite. If we hold around 8-10, I'd have to watch more Patton/Williams and Bridges tape, to get a feel for them.

It stinks that we have to spend ANOTHER second half, essentially rooting for L's to se can get more ping pong balls. But this is where we're at.
