I'm all for getting rubio, his defense and passing alone is worth more than roses current existence.

With rubio we know we'll have a pass first pg for atleast 2yrs if we fail on getting a pg in the draft and if we end up getting a pg we can always run a two pg backcourt or move rubio to the bench or have the rookie come off the bench his rookie season.

But what I don't want is us fukkin up this tank, that's my biggest fear. We're only 4 games out of the 8th spot and I hope we don't start gunning for it.

We need to start looking at the future, we're not gonna compete in the east as long as lebron is still around, maybe another 3-4 seasons, when he does retire that's when our young rookies should be able to start competing against the likes of 76ers and maybe boston (I'm not sold on bucks)

This is how all Knicks fans should be thinking. A 4 year project path to contending.

If we don't want Rose, just let him walk this summer. Why tie ourselves to an injury-prone, non-shooting, unreliable PG for additional years that I am sure everyone in here will be complaining about?

:what:
Son I promise you, knick fans will be complaining about Rubio by mid March the latest if we trade for him

:what:
Only reason to take on additional years is if we get a pick, but I don't see Phil coming through. :francis:

Because he is Euro i started to realize this with Knicks fans on this board and realgm if you are Euro some how some way you are golden Rubio sucks and hasn't done anything with Minnesota but be injured and not be able to shoot and Knicks fans want to bring him here and have him and Noah on the same floor at the same time like WTF let Rose go and just see what happens

I won't complain if he stays healthy. Rubio is a great passer and WILLING to pass the ball. That is so important in the development of a player that the franchise thinks it can build around.

Individually is he better than Derrick Rose? Of course not, but for this team? He is a better fit than Rose, no doubt about it. Phil needs to stop picking up these stopgap pieces. The Knicks will still suck with Rubio, but at the very least Porzingis will FINALLY have a PG who is willing to feed him in the post if needed and get the guy to actually learn what he is doing on offense. Hornacek isn't doing anything from what I see to help him develop. It's the same shyt as with the other coaches that have been here...rely on Melo to keep it close and hope he goes off in the 4th to get us the W. Clearly it is not working.

This year and a half so far in his NBA career, Porzingis runs the pick and roll and watches Carmelo/Rose eat the ball and throw up a bad shot over and over again.

That needs to end and it should end with Rubio.

I agree with this post. I don't think Rubio swings it so much that the Knicks actually make the playoffs.

Your understanding of the NBA is casual city :dame:

I don't even like Rubio, but he'd make the ball move more and get other people involved in the offense for the Knicks, and most importantly he's only under contract for 2 more seasons. Do you think locking up Rose on a multi-year deal is a good idea for a team that doesn't have a backup PG? The Wolves want him because he'd be the grace period between now and when Dunn is ready to start.

Lol these nikkas love their selfish scorers that play no defense. :russ:

As long as you can put up 20+ points in a game then you're considered a good player. :mjlol:

fukk Trading For Talent Get Picks, I Don't Give A fukk About Anybody Out There, Get Picks Or Nothing
The knicks should be able to get a pick in return on top of Rubio, who will be serviceable for the time he is here (assuming we don't end up with Jackson)

You're speaking completely out of your ass.

Knicks fans have been anti-euro prospect since Frederick Weiss was picked over Artest.

You are reaching on some next level shyt.

Even Porzingis was met with incredible and valid skeptism.

Quote a collection of posters who claim Rubio would be the PG of the Knicks future?

At this point, people want to see more of what Porzingis could do with a PG who facilitates as a priority.

I'd imagine even 100% of the brehs who wouldn't mind Rubio in a Knicks uniform this year, probably don't want him next year or at the most as a bench PG.

Alternative Facts ass nikka...

If Rubio was so good, Minnesota would keep him.

We should be done taking on others undesirable trash.

@tremonthustler1 and @Malta will have unlimited (additional) opportunities to flame this thread, and with good reason, if this happens. I see why they disconnected from the franchise.

Explains the attatchment some still have for Melo and refusal to want to trade an aging player and move on and get younger.

Melo be getting buckets yo he nice :whoo: :noah: :krs:
