Is london dearer than New York?

I was surprised by the prices Of property in amsterdam, though I didn't know exactly where I was, so I might've been in the most expensive part of the city.

dearer as in perceived individual value? or?

I've heard Amsterdam is extremely expensive, actually all of the Netherlands come to think of it. I know a lot of businesses have headquarters there and people generally make more than their European contemporaries. A lot of people leave London for the Netherlands..

Just the general value of property?

London is extortionate IMO, I moved out abd I'd never go back (I moved to a suburb, so still only 30 minute drive to central london), but the prices have gobs up so much I'd probably only be able to buy an ex council property or a small flat in an undesirable location.

Imagine paying quarter of a million pounds ($400000) for an ex council flat in a tall block, prices are :scusthov:, this is in bethnal green for fukks sake lol.

The Opposite Of Elliott Wilson's Mohawk
In May the couple bought the 2,000-square-foot space for $750,000, closing on their old apartment for $1.36 million the same day. They slept on mattresses on the floor until renovations began in September. At that point they moved to their unheated bungalow near Cape May, N.J., returning only last week, suitcases in hand.

Harlem in general is pretty safe to me :manny: Unless you are really close to the PJ's you are good.

I lived in Harlem as a kid during the late 90's early 2000's close to PJ's. There is nothing rough or dangerous about Harlem. Especially now.

Yeah if I ever go back to NYC I would go live in Harlem, even before gentrification Harlem was relatively safe and laid back. I remember hanging out there with my cousins when I first started high school (early 2000's) and was always surprised that no one ever came at us sideways. Now the South Bronx on the other hand...:merchant::merchant:
