Exactly
I think there was a time when it was viable for black people to buy our neighborhoods, but it prob seemed pointless, because no white person would ever move to Crown Heights or whatever in 1988. It prob seemed pointless too because a lot of places just were not safe. Why commit to living in a warzone???
Giuliani came through and crushed the buildings, NY rap died, and from there it was a wrap. We are talking about gentrification now, but really the window probably closed a long time ago. If it wasn't for the law, NYCHA facilities would probably be long gone too. A lot of that property is waterfront
That spot is right across the street from the Projects, at hipsters moving in there. Now if the rent was about $400 cheaper
All of us is heading to those camps bruh.
Low key it kind of is. One of my good friends (white Jewish kid) spent years living down the block from Marcy projectsI don't know if it's that far fetched. I haven't been back up top since October 2012, but when I was up there I went by my old hood (Bushwick Projects), and there was plenty of hipsters living near the projects. I saw hipsters jogging right by the parking lot like everything was sweet.

Regular. He just looked like a regular white dude. I forget where he lived exactly but it was the south side like two blocks off Myrtle. No Orthodox/Hasidim over there. Was he Orthodox or Hasidim, or just a regular Jew? Cause if you go down Flushing Ave. a few blocks, you will find a LOAD of Hasidic Jews. They basically run that area.

In a lot of cases people who work/live in London have to work/live in London.
In America this isn't so.
I don't think there is enough wealth in the world for NY to turn into London...
