I live in NJ and while i hated the idea initially it’s the best move to make.
So you a victim of gentrification? Damn shame.
I live in NJ and while i hated the idea initially it’s the best move to make.
I thought they would stay out of the bronx?
The whole gentrification thing as well as the culture surrounding it by privileged people usually with financial backing, trying to be "cool", trying to act poor while not actually being poor or rich beyond belief turning what was the wrong side of the tracks or poor area still makes me cringe. and even worse, they bring their suburbian values, arrogance and level of ignorance with them too. They don't keep it real which is why when you see and hear their views, it makes no sense. I still don't understand how someone would want to move to NYC into an apartment space with roommates from a suburb with their own space. That's ass backwards.
It is all for entertainment and access to nightlife. Even gentrified places still have a lower quality of living since these greedy landlords still don't properly fix up the areas or the apartments. Human beings weren't meant to endure 2 hour commutes one-way to work every morning and living in boxes with substandard living conditions.
But you are talking about a demographic that will refuse to have children. To them, NYC is a great place for them to waste their lives away and for a place to die in. For that alone, it is an extrovert's paradise and an introvert's worst nightmare. The infrastructure is getting further broken down since it wasn't designed to withstand so many people for long periods of time......and the craziest part about it? Their mere presence of them gentrifying cities is killing the ecosystem by causing polluted air and more limited food resources.
The idea of people moving into a certain area of turn simply because it's cool is lame. Only a spoiled privileged person does that. If you pay close attention to the types of people that move to these places, they are more concerned about being trendy than anything else. It's a lifestyle to them. That's why there's the yoga, vegan, coffee shop, craft beer, indie music, club opening on weekdays, subletting, social media activism, liberal, artists, hipster, techie, pretend we are broke while not actually being broke and etc. It's some following a trend shyt. Folks aren't exactly doing this out of genuineness for their personal gain. Basically they have a high school mentality where they are on vacation so to speak while being an adult. It's an insult to people that are actually in those areas or living in the city struggling trying to come up and move to where these very same people are coming from. These people have way too much time on their hands which is why they're able to do what they're doing.
They causing places to be overcrowded, trains to have breakouts with Flu germs, and homogenizing everything while jacking up prices to the point where people making money in the city, have to live in dangerous hoods or going to Jersey/ CT to live. That bubble has to burst, or else people will lose incentive to even work in a place that they cannot afford. Like you said, it is a game for them and they literally breaking down infrastructure.
It is bursting right now as we speak and the irony is that these folks will blame Donald Trump because it's the "cool" thing like whole "resistance", bleeding liberal nonsense and not looking at it from a rational standpoint where they are a part of the problem.
You sound insane with your rant. People move here for the jobs and lifestyle. It’s expensive and it’s a city where you have to hustle. It’s not laid back and a utopia like the south. They killing the environment around the globe by moving into these cities. Nuff said. Why else these rush hours becoming unbearable and even more overcrowded? Why else is trash and waste becoming harder and harder to manage?
At this point, I hope the government just pay them to leave so that the infrastructure won't break down faster than it already is. Giving up privacy and space for the sake of entertainment is cornball-ish.
people aren't even getting robbed like that anymore either!South BX is still dangerous. They don't rob white folks, but they sure go after non whites

You sound sick, all you want to do is have everybody give up and die. PatheticJobs? The stock market is currently plummeting. And the lifestyle just to live near entertainment when you still have problem like trash overflowing and rats still rampant in Manhattan? For a city where most people are struggling to get by, it sure ain't a hustlers paradise. Its a tease and never ending events of setbacks for the majority.
Whats the point of making money if all you doing is payin bills and have nothing left over?

The guy is a lunatic. Ranting about giving well off people money to move away. It’s been this way for the longest but he thinks whining like a fukking bytch will make a difference. It’s disgusting how weak willed and lacking a backbone he has.you are aware that living in urban environments is significantly better for the environment than living in suburban or rural environments, right?
