There's a Starbucks on Flatbush Avenue now lol, in Midwood I think
Is there a problem with that ? If a business opens and makes money there what's the problem? There's a Starbucks on Flatbush Avenue now lol, in Midwood I think
No there's no problem...what I was gonna say is that all the customers inside were black, my point is that just because a Starbucks opens up somewhere doesn't mean cacs are gonna take overIs there a problem with that ? If a business opens and makes money there what's the problem?
Some of the numbered streets from Eastern Queens briefly continue into Western Nassaunot gentrification related, but ive been looking at some of the weird borders of queens/long island and bronx/wakefield. there a literally streets and houses half in nyc and half in the suburbs. apparently where your front door is determines if you live in the city or suburbs. on alot of these streets you'll notice the fire hydrants change color or the street lights are different...that is the border.

Same thing with Bellerose. Queens and Nassau were the same county at one time, and Queens wasn't part of NYC until 1898. That would have been interesting if what is now Nassau became part of NYC.i believe the town of floral park actually got cut in half, now half of it is in nyc and half of it is in nassau lol

Waiting for all the Bronx posters to come in and say my hood is too gully for gentrification .
Well I don't live in the hood. I live in Forest Hills and it has long been gentrified . That answer your question ?Is your hood ready for gentrification?
Well I don't live in the hood. I live in Forest Hills and it has long been gentrified . That answer your question ?
No they don't , the E train isn't near there nor is the coffee shop or the gyms. Austin street has a burger spot , 3 dinners 3 gyms, a comic book store and the good Thai spot. The gardens is still heavy Jewish and Irish . Nothing but homes in that area, gated homes, I lived there a long time ago and the walk to the subway was a killer. Going to the movies a pain. Only good thing about the gardens is that Trader Joes is closer for them . All those new condos built on queens Blvd are for the gentrified . Going thru those arch ways for the Gardens are for older home owners. The gentry live in Forest Hills Gardens.
