I'm from the Bronx and I never thought in a million years they would try to gentrify it, but I see signs of it already. They really tryna take all of NYC.
thats what i'm saying. places like BK and Bronx getting gentrified. Hoboken used to be a dump, why not Newark?

Newark has a certain stigma and strong culture compared to JC and Hoboken. Much like how Bronx has been slow to gentrify compared to Brooklyn. The distance further into Jersey compared to Hoboken doesn't help either.

i'm telling you bruh. Downtown Newark is going to gentrify. it won't happen today or tomorrow, but when JC is gentrified completely, Harrison and Downtown Newark are next

I can see it happening. NYC is gonna get even more expensive in the coming years and people are gonna prefer to live in Jersey and commute to NYC. The same thing is happening in Philly as we speak with Camden being across the bridge. I wouldn't mind moving to North Jersey or back to NYC to open up a business and own property. We need more of that shyt.

I already it in the BX. I work there for petes sake. Just look between 161st and 149th. I'm already seeing joggers on the Concourse.

If these developments move north of the Cross BX, it's game over. :francis:

Breh, I saw that shyt when I went back home to visit fam. What the fukk is the deal with developers trying to call that shyt the Piano District?:what:

Might as well buy up property while it's still reasonable. That value will skyrocket once gentrification becomes mass. Or better yet, use that shyt and become a landlord.

What state you think wanna head to? Most people I know who wanna move south wanna go to Georgia,Texas, and North Carolina. I was thinking the same, but I wouldn't wanna go too far away from the fam.

So many nikkas aren't homeowners or have some form of property. That's why it's so easy to price them out in favor of cacs and transplants dying for the NYC bragging rights. :snoop:

Imagine if the death of rent stabilization applied to all the boroughs.

Owning property in the city ain't cheap. You definitely gotta have ya hustle about you to keep it. Them NYC taxes can be a killer. But that's a much better alternative then being at the mercy of shytty landlords.

I got fam in all three states, but most of my family is here in the Northeast. The diversity of the Northeast can't be really seen anywhere else in the country. A safe compromise for me would prolly be Virginia/Maryland
