As much as realtors would like any given neighborhood to be "hip", I highly doubt yuppies would be interested in The Bronx, depending on the neighborhoof it's either way too grimy or not close enough to Manhattan depending on where you are. If anything, somewhere like Pelham parkway would be hot for people who got displaced out of "prime" neighborhoods.
South bronx is next up, hipsters will move there for the "cool factor".
Also in the article they said Jamaica and Coney Island as hot neighborhoods. I could def see Jamaica.

I disagree with that. Yonkers/westchester county is still more expensive than dutchess, ulster and orange county.
I got relatives that live upstate in Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Schenectady. There's been alot of new yorkers especially domincans and ricans moving up there because its alot cheaper than Westchester county.

I would be shocked if the South Bronx becomes even 5% white. Surprisingly though, Mott Haven has a really bad reputation but to me it feels a lot less ghetto than say, Longwood
