The World, but from BK
Me and my girl been looking for Condos in BK at first. BK prices are just too outta control. We about to put in an offer for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo or 1 bedroom in that same building out in Corona. Don't plan on being in nyc more than 2 more yrs but the 1-bedrooms sell quicker.

Man I seen them walking around and bike riding consistently around 170th and University the last time I been there which like 3 weeks ago. I had the :wtf: face on myself when I kept seeing more and more pass thru.

I hear them places are getting alot of people that are pushed out of the gentrifying neighborhoods

I dunno...it's not even expensive out there though. Was looking up houses and they avg about low-mid 300k.

So I was at a housewarming in fort green last night, and a majority of white folks. It looks like one project(public housing complex) got bought and turned into co-ops out there. Crazy shyt is that usually pj's have courtyards in the center of all the buildings. Check this shyt out, since the changed it the center of the courtyard is a big octagon bullet proof glass thing that has 2 security guards in. Once you're inside you have to sign in and the security guard has to open the door from the inside with a key in order to let you out of the octagon thing so you can go to the intended building. The inside of the building I was in looked kinda dingy, but the chik's apt who had the party had a huge 1 bedroom. Chik is paying $700k for it. Crazy thing is that the complex is gated up on the outside and it's right across from some other projects.

This is NYC for ya- contrast of living is right across the street from each other and so in your face.

Ock from the bodega broke it down to me...

He said NY treats small businesses the same way as big businesses...As far as taxes etc goes..Thats why the Arabs are playing the game at a "different"level by renaming and rebranding stores...

Also if your in a "prime"area, the landlord will basically try to get you out of there by raising rent...

161st got the courts as well as the office building and the dope fiends who will all spend...Not to mention the crowds who are in the area...

Bronx always had white people outside of Riverdale.

Go to East Bronx, Pelham Parkway , and even up by Gun Hill to a small extent. White people were always in those areas. And not transplants or hipsters either.
Morris Park, er, Pahk too.

Property Owner Plans to Demolish Housing Development Near Bronx Zoo
Under the redevelopment project, the Lambert Houses — a group of buildings spread out across roughly 12 acres of land in West Farms near the Bronx Zoo — would be torn down and replaced with approximately 1,665 new units of affordable housing, 61,100 square feet of retail space and a possible new public elementary school for 500 students.
Phipps Houses declined to comment on the plan, while residents offered mixed reactions to it.

This is why ultimaltley I might just leave NYC. Rent in Queens is ok but that is unsustainable. I am planning move to the ATL in the next 4 years. It is not worth it. I and my lil bro got a buisness idea in real estate but we went to an REIA meeting and alot of folks are saying try New jersey or CT cuz in NY its over saturated and only the big boys play. They say the south is better. Saw alot of folks with property in NC,Memphis,VA,PA etc. Large majority of them were black and they didnt deal in NYC cuz its hard. The REIA meeting was cool.
