This is going to far now :snoop:

They owned it so they can sell it. But why didn't they negotiate a deal that would let them move back in? The owners had the upper hand, this tells me their not coming back and they only said that to calm down the anger of the people.

Yep...Its funny how they say they want to negotiate a deal to come back but i think we know how thats going to end..

Coming back from the city and seeing the juniors sign up esp at night all lit up was like a real welcome back to brooklyn feel. Maybe they stay who knows but condos there. :scusthov:

if they really wanted to stay at that location, I think they could have negotiated a deal that any thing that goes up will still us privilege to the ground floor for our business.. :yeshrug:

I wouldn't know the percentages on that.:childplease:What does that have to do with what you just said?:comeon:

If more people owned the places they lived, then gentrification wouldn't be going down as hard. 92% of NYC rents, so they can easily be replaced.

So if they owned their places like Juniors did then Juniors wouldn't be moving?

If they owned their own residences and paid property taxes, shyt would be harder for it to do. But with renters, they are just prey for the vultures to come in and sweep up shop. Besides, the war on gentrification is over before the press made light on this.

But Juniors did own. We're not talking about other people.

Junior's sucked anyway, plus all those rats running in the cheesecake, plus the commercialization of their brand such as being in Times Square.

Guess the price gouging on the property taxes done them in
Nah, the owners probably got a boat load of under the table money from the condo developers and decided to sell, and they several stores anyway, the brooklyn one isn't as important anymore. They're already cemented as a cultural icon.
