shyt is mad disrespectful. Brehs in here low key making it seem like it’s somehow his fault becuz he was a rapper. If he was ditch digger we wouldn’t be hearing this. They blaming hip hop culture instead of where it should go which is gambling culture which has been violent for centuries

I've seen fights between nikkas pitching pennies. Nobody wants to lose. It was a dude who shot a woman after he lost to her in basketball not too long ago. Im not a fan of this garbage music myself, but to place all the blame on music is ridiculous.

I place all blame on the parents who raise these demons.

Grown high earning men playing dice in the streets is a result of hip hop, full stop.

The other 99% of people with money would be at a casino or somewhere where the risk of getting robbed or killed isnt baked in. them nikkas doing it for the look of it being street shyt, not because of some love of gambling and we both know it :mjlol: These rappers really bring out the goofy in people
No it’s not. You know damn well them gangsters, pimps, and numbers runners were rocking zoot suits and shooting dice illegally back in the 30s

Why would he be at the game though? I'm not directly blaming him for his own death. As you said street dice games have always been dangerous. Street shyt has gone on well before rap. But why is so much more popularized? Why is it glamourized to the extent that it is today?
He wasn’t at a dice game. He was at a bowling alley where a dice game happened to break out. They saying he got hit in the back of the head which means he was prolly looking the other way

at some point their numbers guys will convince the execs, its not worth it. like half your roster of rappers will die before they hit 35 and they may not even have a solid catalogue until they're 30. you put money behind marketing albums, touring, and other expenses. the returns have to be worth it over time

in the 90s there were a total of 10 murders of rappers for the entire decade

between just 2020 and 2022, there have been 15 murders ....in just 2 years.

at this rate, a total of 60 rappers will be dead by 2030.

from the article:
Two studies in the mid-2010s concluded that murder was the cause of 51.5% of hip hop musician deaths. The average age of death is between 25–30 years of age. Hip hop has a higher rate of homicide than any other genre of music, ranging from five to 32 times higher.
It’s worth it when they already have Multi million dollar insurance policies taken out on you

I want to caution people running with the Quavo caused this narrative. The same happened with PNB rock where people just ran with something that wasn't accurate. When events like these happen people are in a rush to provide a scoop. Even if it's not accurate it propagates fast, before anybody can verify.

:unimpressed:

The reason these cats are in the situation they are in is because of their environments and how they are raised. Never said they shouldn't be accountable for their actions. I'm a FIRM believer of you do the crime, you do the time. I'm pointing as to WHY some of these dudes are the way they are. They don't know how to handle their emotions because they naturally are picking up the emotional tendencies of women.

I'm more than grown and instill values in both of my sons and teach them how to move like a real man and not some goofy emotional clown.
This is exactly what I said earlier. The homocide rate in the black community is a complex issue that is ultimately due to racist government policy such as the welfare “no man allowed in the house” rule that removed black men from the home, forcing black people into overcrowded urban environments during integration, and most importantly the crack/drug era they imported into black community. Those three factors alone are a recipe for disaster.

Black men were playing dice before hip hop was even invented :what:
