This probably the worst advice I've ever seen on here, and that's saying a lot....... :smh:
So you think going to go to college for an English major is a good idea? Because companies are kicking down doors for english majors. There are majors that are just worthless, and most of those fall outside of STEM and finance. im majoring in computer science, with just one year left and i know its going to pay off.

$700K in student loan debt. What? :heh:

I'll freely admit that I have about $100k in student loans, but I was in school for 12 years and have 3 degrees (BA, MA, PhD). But, my degrees were strategic and profitable. I had a girlfriend when I was in school and she had an MA in geography, :dead:

English? :dead:

But, how you gonna fail the dental shyt 4 times in a row? :dead:

Breh folks fail to realize how hard it is to become a dentist, doctor and lawyer.

Many folks can't pass the examines. shyt my homie I grew up with couldn't pass the bar. Luckily a law degree can get you a great job in corporate america. He was able to get on at a fortune 500 company and is now a director.

But there are many folks who go to medical school and can't cut the mustard.

So thats why I was saying these folks should get stem degrees. So if they can't become a doctor for whatever reason. They have a degree that has the ability to get them a job and payback those 100s and thousands of dollars that they have in loans for pursuing a career as a doctor.

I agree. I just think folks need to be smart when it comes to pursuing certain degrees. Ain't nothing wrong with a degree in english. But understand there are a limit of fields you can go into.

Also understand that the pay is not the greatest and there is absolutely no need to go to college and spend 100k plus in student loans for a degree in english. No need what so ever.

Learn a trade. Everyone thinks being stuck in a cubicle is a good thing

A trade is hard on your body. I had $40/hr tradesmen in my construction management classes. Unless you gonna open your business you're still gonna have to go back to school.

Trades will definitely put you ahead though and if I could start over I'd go right after highschool. Stack up, hit journey man status at 23, stack up more, and go back to school at 28. By that time you're way ahead of all your peers.
