She's already vented to some other comedian n!gga how you don't think she's funny. He's probably been blowing her back out while you're at work.. :manny:

One thing that might help (something i do) is whenever the girl I'm seeing tries to be funny/tells a joke/funny story and it's just not that funny, I'll look at her with a blank stare and then make fun about how unfunny whatever she said is. But i guess the tricky part is to do it in a charming/funny way to the point where even she's laughing at herself. That way, not only can she trust you because she's getting honest feedback from you but she still feels safe cause it's done in a teasing/loving way. Also, encourage her when she's actually hilarious. I personally wouldn't help her write stuff unless she asks because then it's like you are invading her creative space.

Hope this helps.

one day we have to talk about why women are inherently worse at comedy than men

because it does not make sense. and when you find one that's funny she almost always is a dyke.

it has to be something mental
I think it's because as a member of the audience, you have to "surrender" to their worldview and perspective and let her lead you somewhere. And a lot of women have trouble leading but also, it's hard for us men to accept leadership from a female.

I’m just venting, she texted me today about an open mic and I really really don’t wanna go.

I get supporting your spouse but my god she isn’t funny, she has a whole bit about her cat looking like a loaf of bread :snoop:

She’ll sit and make people watch her IG reels of her stand up when we go out with people and I just cringe at the sympathy laughs. She’s great in every other aspect but goddamn I know how chicks feel supporting their bfs rap careers :snoop:
OP can we please see a link lmao

nah that's not it man. because you saying it's a mental block that stops us from having the right perspective. i'm not close minded. jokes are not complicated but somehow being funny is for the opposite sex.

i think men are far better as self deprecating humor but also observational humor.
