Man I love Big but both Nas and Jay were better lyricists when Big was still with us..

Big was unique in his cadence and flow and his presence demanded your attention moreso than theirs imo, but they were better lyricists..

Mook putting a lot of extra sauce on it.. No disrespect
Lol, he def is. Big was an unbelievable rapper tho, pun intended. Good to see Big get love like this tbh, outside of Brooklyn/NYC it seems like he’s under-appreciated somewhat. Agree with everything you said tho

Folks need to put some respect on Cubes name. Hes a better story teller than Nas,Jay and Big. And im not old enough to say for certain. But based on what i heard musically,i dont see how Cube wasnt unquestionably the best emcee alive at his peak. Plus none of these nikkas had a run like Amerikkas Most,Death Certificate,Kill At Will,Predator,Lethal Injection. How the hell you make 3 groups famous, and put out great albums with them:wow:

I KNOW Cube is the goat like I know Jordan is the goat. But Pac was in my era like Kobe was,so i prefer Pac and Kobe slightly more because i witnessed it first hand. Have no idea how Cube isnt the unanimous goat of all old heads though smh. Theres really no legitimate arguments for anyone else over Cube imo. He was a beast whos bars aged well for me,where many didnt.

ehhh idk beans in his prime was :whew:

And as an emcee i dont put Biggie over Beans. And how many people put Beans over Jay? So that should answer the question on if Biggie is better than Jay. Now some days im on the fence if Beans mightve been better than Jay. But thats because Beans did things Jay cant do. Jay cant make "Nothing Like It". And Biggie couldnt make that kind of record either. Sigel was like if somebody combined Pac and Biggie in a lab. He might keep climbing the ranks as time goes on. Im just not ready to say it yet about Beans:hubie:

And yes Biggie inspired Beans and Kiss so deserves his props. But i think both actually surpassed him as emcees.

I'm talking about what happened in real time in 1994 and you jumped to 1996. You obviously weren't around in NYC 1994 because Biggie took the game by storm and left Nas in his shadows when Ready To Die dropped. And lets not talk who had the bigger 2nd album
Ready To Die didn’t cement Biggie RIGHT when it dropped either. Stop making like Biggie turned Nas into some nobody and to add on top of it Biggie had a level of promotion and backing that Nas never got. While they was both alive Nas outsold Biggie. Biggie died and Life After Death dropped right after so that ain’t even fair right there. Not saying it wouldn’t have outsold IWW but still. Let’s cut the bs.

Who, "Murder Mook"?

All "Murder Mook" is doing here is confirming that he is not qualified to hold a valid position of credibility within such a discussion

Biggie didn't do enough in his catalog to qualify for such a status

This is readily apparent, quantifiable and self-evident and to not understand this is to not understand why The Game was not eligible for GOAT status after dropping The Doctor's Advocate

You can merely say that Biggie stylistically your favorite, which means he possesses a skill set that you value

Notice how you couldn't even dispute what I said because I spoke truth and that truth had you so cornered all u could do was deflect with talking shyt about me. The topic isn't about me. It's about why Biggie is the best and it's not even close. Pac needed Biggie to promote his All Eyes On Me and Makaveli albums. These are facts. Even had Biggie on the original art work of Makaveli. All facts.
nikka there’s barely any Biggie disses on All Eyez On Me. Pac didn’t drop Hit Em Up until MONTHS after AEOM was released. All of PAC’s singles from that shyt had nothing to do with Biggie. Most u can say was 2 Of America’s Most Wanted music video. But Biggie was throwing shots in Jay video before that video dropped. MATW was one of the highest selling albums in music the year it dropped. That was BEFORE Death Row. And that wasn’t off Biggie disses either. Dear Mama, So Many Tears, Temptations, and the title tracks were the singles. No mention of Biggie. Makaveli was gonna sell regardless cause Pac just died and even on that. He damn near didn’t mention Biggie that whole album. He mentioned other people more than Biggie. On top of that. His lead singles was Hail Mary and 2 Live and Die in LA. Nothing to do with Biggie. Let alone the fact that I Ain’t Mad At Cha was still running as a new music video and single leading up to and after PAC’s death. So he still was dropping singles from AEOM up until his death. Cut the bullshyt nikka.

Biggie did win lyricist of the year over Nas at the Source Awards if i recall correctly. Not as if they werent both darlings of The Source:hubie:

With that said,Biggie himself was suprised and doesnt sound like he thought he shouldve won

Nobody at that award show felt Biggie should’ve won that. Everyone was shocked. The nikka who got less mics got the album of the year and lyricist of the year. Nas got snubbed for the Bad Boy machine. That’s all that was about. Which is why Nas switched management in the first place. And this award show happened after Biggie was already blowing up.

:duck:

More lies. The 96 March issue of The Source which came out in early February, weeks before All Eyes On Me dropped is where we learn on Pac and Biggies prior relationship for the first time.

He talks about Biggie stealing his style (which was Pac being delusional) He talks about fukking Faith. The whole article was some jaw dropping shyt where Biggie was the main focus. Pac had that article drop right before the album and it was one of the main reasons I bought the album because I thought he was gonna talk about Biggie on it. I later thought it was genius that Pac trolled us with the Source article and have us rush to the stores only to make us go back to the store months later for Hit 'em Up. But to say that this Source article wasn't Pac using Biggie to promote All Eyes On Me is a complete lie.
