I've never been there but from the outside looking in, the Afghan military does not want to fight the taliban and the taliban obviously know this.

I’m not saying they never would have taken control, Taliban taking control over the region was always inevitable. I’m saying it would have taken more than a damn week and we would have had a MUCH more uniform and disciplined method of evacuating, at the very least, American citizens before the shyt hit the fan
