Sad. It looks like she’s been getting surgery/work done on her face and body even before this procedure though… I’ve never gotten cosmetic surgery and I don’t know anyone who has. I feel like the cosmetic surgery craze (particularly bbl, face work and other body enhancing procedures) is really only being seen in a certain population of women. Mostly those married/dating men in the entertainment industry, and the women that are part of that industry (strippers, actresses, dancers, music artists, sex workers, etc.) social media models/influencers, socialites and those who want to be.

It’s an industry where you’re judged and rewarded for your physical presentation/appearance. and the people they hang out with, compete with, and get compared to are in the same industry so a lot of them are getting work done to compete and keep up. This probably wasn’t a big deal to her because she knew others in her circle who did this procedure too. It’s a very shallow, soul destroying industry.

Unfortunately, while I think the excessive surgery is the result of her not loving herself, i think it was compounded by her being so immersed in the lifestyle above. she was never going to be okay with herself if she didn’t keep looking the part. :francis:

But I don’t believe the average woman is getting work done on the same level as the population above. Everyday when I go out, i see too many regular looking women to believe otherwise. I do think young women who are frequently on social media feel more pressure to look a certain way but even so they’re not getting surgery. I’m seeing them use make up, angles, filters, certain clothes, going to the gym, and just dealing with their insecurities the best they can.
I don’t know. More black people getting surgery than you probably think. Grown women. My cousin in law was as average as it gets. Military husband working for the state department in MD, twins graduating from college, and 2 young children. Got a mommy make over and died of a pulmonary embolism before coming home. A beautiful woman in her upper 30’s. In my opinion didn’t need it. I’m ordinary as hell. My wife, a beautiful lady, thought she needed a breast lift at 37. I told her I love her stretch marks and breast that hang. She didn’t need to change a thing. She wasn’t hearing me though and at the time we were 6 years and a child in. Had her cousin not died, she probably would have had a breast lift and tummy tuck (at the time she was a size 4-6). I’m thankful she changed her mind,

Anesthesiologist are the highest paid doctors for a reason. Ever time you’re sedated you’re taking a risk. I’m not letting anyone put me to sleep unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Oh wow :mjcry:

Had a cousin who recently got a body makeover and damn near died too. Needed multiple blood transfusions, doc acted like it was no big deal and part of the recovery process.

shyt is wild and people really need to fall back on all this work…PLEASE!!

Sad shyt, man…
I went to Mexico with my girl , a couple of years ago. She got a bbl from a pretty popular dr out that way. Man!!!!! That shyt was wild!!!! The dr invited me into the operating room , while they were in mid surgery. And asked if I wanted to take pictures or any video :russ: He let me hop up on this tall ass chair and watch the whole thing go down. The first nigh was scary ass shyt. She got cold and was shivering. But it all turned out great:takedat: after she healed. But these Drs have it sowed up on that bbl shyt. They have blocks and blocks of houses just for after care for the girls. It was a non stop rotation of girls coming and going.

My girls cousin passed away doing this same thing. She was only 26. Married with two kids. Went to Miami for a mommy makeover. Never made it back :wow:
That's so sad. What is a "mommy makeover"?

RIP to this young lady and much love to DC and his children.

Body positivity is preventing us from having honest discussions about all the shyt black women been doing recently because of self hate. Why is this shyt basically normalized at this point. Chicks working at target with ant bodies. Not worth the risk

Hope DC is aight, just saw him open up for Mike Epps, Cedric the entertainer, and DL a couple weeks ago. So much of his set was about family and the church

Maybe because its literally ingrained in the culture down here, being the epicenter where people fly into here if they do it in the states, they coming to miami, I have seen it grow from a back yard thing that was a trans demograhic, transfer over to the nightlife girls and it was only a few who took that chance, the latin culture would go to DR/Colombia as its big there, but when Covid hit and that Bandemic money flooded the streets aint nothing been the same.

Im telling you when I saw the facebook groups and the size of these groups and the amount of activity I was shocked. Mostly black women in all age groups but A TON that are 35+ like ya out the game, wtfff.. shyt is DANGEROUS and ya goin multiple times under?! That shyt is everywhere down here, its ingrained and I think social media is making it spread cities.. To see it be only nightlife girls like 10 years ago to now, regular girls that deliver mail, work at walmart, some dont even have jobs but they got bbls, shyt is bizarro land

A damn shame. Its not worth risking your life to get a fat buttocks!!! Surgery is serious buisness anytime your placed under anaesthesia, unless the operation is medically necessary one shouldn't go under the operating table.
all this for what? So horny men give her social media likes and validation? This is aint it at all. At some level its degeneracy
