Not only this, console sales isn't the heavy hitter. It no longer gives an accurate number of people playing xbox games with gamepass and xcloud.
They could sell 5 consoles and have 100,000 people playing their games.
when them numbers hit at the end of first qtr, what's the excuse then?
the xbox series consoles are a whole hunnid less than ps5 on stockx. the demand is not high for them
Sega seems like it could be a target but what does Sega have that is worth it to Microsoft?
Also Persona would still be on Playstation cause that's the only way it would sell. Persona would flop on Xbox.
Capcom exclusived Street Fighter on ps4 after the 360 was the standard for the last gen fighters and it sold well.
Almost no one into Xbox cares about or wants Persona. Almost everyone that cares about Persona wouldn’t want it stuck on Xbox.
Microsoft tried making JRPGs and they weren’t pleased with the result. If they bought Sega and made Persona an Xbox exclusive it would kill the series.
Nah, it was probably the least successful street fighter ever.

Disagree, if persona 6 became a xbox exclusive persona fans would buy a xbox.....or "just play it on PC" since it would be 1st party
They'd lose the more casual persona rpg fans that just played it because it was an RPG on ps. But that's about it

And that was with the input lag and malware at launch. What's equally crazy is that the input lag was a console issue because all the multiplatform games had less lag on the xbox one.
Thats the reason you buy them, to bring in folks who would otherwise not buy the console. The 360 jrpgs were solid but all new ips, if they had a final fantasy or persona level game it would force fans to buy the console. I literally only bought a ps4 for the fighting games because crossplay wasn't a thing and street fighter/guilty gear were exclusives.
