If you're happy with the mk3, then I'd sit on it. There's no need to get a another piece of hardware that has the same functions as a piece you already own. I personally have issues with "gear lust," but if you got it like that, then, by all means, buy it.
For a true MPC workflow experience for the low would be the MPC Studio. The only thing you'd be missing is outputs in comparison to the mk3. Buy used for the lowest price point possible. The Live is a good unit as well, but there will be a lot of "menu surfing" because unlike the other MPC's of old and new, it doesn't have a lot of dedicated button for functions, so there will be a lot of "menu scrolling" which can interrupt workflow; that may or may not be important to you. Like you were saying, the MPC Live has bluetooth, in addition to an internal battery and storage options, so that $1000 price tag may be justifiable to you. Also, for the dedicated function buttons that the MPC Live has, they have backlighting; the others below the Live model do not.
I feel bad for you bruh, because.....
I just went to the Guitar Center in OKC and snatched mine up. They said that they had got them in 2 weeks ago. You may have to look long and hard, but some stores have them in stock. They got one more unit in stock.
Man, I know the 2000 is a classic piece of machinery, but it may be time to let go because gettting the parts to replace it now is hard as hell, especially screens. I can't speak on it now because I haven't even cracked open my box yet, but I'm sure if you cop the MPC One, you let go of the Studio, for sure. As far as the Ren goes... that's up in the air. I'd keep it for comparison, especially for the on board effects. If the MPC One meets or exceeds expectations, then sell it off too!
I feel you like I said I need a stand alone then I would like another gear that has some analog capabilities ...like the sp2400 maybe . Don't worry I want be getting anything this year it will be sometime next year thoe ...the MPC one has more of short cut buttons and you don't have to touch the screen near as much as the live which I like .
