depends, if you want to be totally free of a power outlet, get the iPad. other than that you could go either wayI do want something portable but I thought about getting the iPAD like madlib . I don't if I should get this or an iPAD

It funny cause if you go into the comments section on one of those MPC one YouTube videos it a guy in the section that said he was at guitar center last year and said NI stand alone has been in production for year or two so all the machine users we might get a stand alone in the fall.
*mind you I take this news with a grain of salt BUT I was hear similar things last year about a mashcine stand alone . This might not be that far off .
I need to make a trip to guitar center see when the native instruments rep will be there ....

damn in that case I'm definitely pick up that MPC 1 as my stand alone .Edit: I'm get the one to learn a different system I was going to get the one regardless if NI came out with a standalone or not.
