Again, you're getting "interesting" mixed up with "likable".

People like Walt because he's a great character. He's interesting. People cheer for him to win for the same reason people didn't want Tony Soprano to die.

Does that mean you'd want either of them living next door to you? No. Why? Because they're unlikable.

Hell, more recently people in the "Jessica Jones" thread are over how great Kilgrave is. People like the character....despite the fact that he's a sociopath and a rapist.

It's 2015, it's ok to admit you like or cheer for characters that are horrible people.

And I'm at "nobody liked Pinkman". Most of the "BB" fanbase outside of The Coli loved him....for whatever reason. I don't understand it.

Like I said Jesse was unlikable. Plenty of people watched and liked Walter White as a character myself included. Plenty of people like interesting villains.There were plenty of unlikable characters on that show. Marie Schrader, Skyler White, Jesse Pinkman. Walter White isn't on that list.

If one finds a character interesting then they aren't unlikable. One doesn't have to be trustworthy to be a likable TV character. One doesn't have to be a good person to be a likable character either. I liked the Joker in the Dark Knight. Does that mean I want him to watch my kid? No.

I think two good examples of unlikable characters are Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars prequels and Bella Swan from Twilight. When I say Anakin I mean just that not Darth Vader Anakin was annoying in episode 1-3 and people only liked the character when he became a completely different character. As for Bella Swan she was a self-centered selfish bytch with the personality of a wet paper bag who played with a guy's emotions who was supposedly her best friend because her dude left her. I don't think any of those chicks that were into Twilight were actually into it because they liked Bella as a character.

Nobody is confusing anything. I hated walter. He was a piece of shyt and a p*ssy that talked big because he was insecure and had a huge ego. I was happy he got killed.
