tbh tho, i havent been to the movies all summer, not because they are expensive

but because there literally is not a lot of shyt worth seeing

most movies are shyt, making it cheaper/more accessible doesnt change that i dont wanna waste time on shyt when i can just find a bootleg version of a movie i havent seen that is actually really good + eat my own less expensive food

netflix needs to acquire classic films
But that's the effect it'll likely have on the general public. People will be less concerned about wasting money on a bad movie if all they have to pay is 10 bucks a month. So if somebody has a couple of hours of free time, now they'll probably check out a movie.

This will be very good for low budget films. Might help bring some creative and different flicks back in the game.

How do you jump to that conclusion?

Lower budget and mid budget films would probably fare better just releasing day and date with theaters and digital since people are going to the theaters less often.

Even myself I'd rather have rented Detroit digitally than say see it in the theater.

very few theaters in LA take this movie pass and now AMC is not taking it either. Easy pass.
Where you getting your information?

almost every theatre takes it, and AMC can't block it

it's like using a credit card, every theatre allows that

This is obviously a good idea bc they knkw most ppl subscribe, but don't watch.

My cousin hss Netflix for yrs and hasn't watched it almost ever.

Ppl have amazon prime and dont use it often.

Ppl will pay for a movie pass bc it's cheap "just in case" they decide to go

I haven't been to the movie theater in years. I don't give a damn how they make the seats, it's not as comfortable as being at home. Then you got the crowd to deal with on the weekends. The technology is getting better to watch online and if it's not a big hit you get it clear HD or 4K after a month or two when it goes to DVD.

I do this for Spotify. :mjcry:

I guess its the convenience of having it ready to be used at any-time, even if you don't use it a lot.

I'm def in. I own a tv with literally the best possible picture quality. But the big screen is still the big screen. IMAX and Dolby Atmos screening rooms >>> for action movies. Even comedies are better in a group setting.

I'd go more often than I do now w this.

Unsustainable business model. What are they thinking? You pay them $10 a month and they buy you up to 1 ticket a day if you choose? Sounds like they'll be out of business by month 3 tops.

I signed up, but it didn't register.

Site is an absolute mess, put in CC info twice and it didn't take.

Had to write them, cause it just sends you right back to the sign up page. Not a good look

Movie theatres here in the U.K. have had this business model for years.

Request Rejected

Movie theatres know they make a large amount of their money from food and drink so the more you come to watch, the better for them.

10 bux a month? fukk yeah I'm in. I don't go to movies that often cuz it's expensive but I'm sure I could make 1 movie a month and have this be worth it. Hell I might go to the movies just to take a nap in an air conditioned room
