No list of those 7 quarterbacks yet huh?

We all make judgements based on what we know but it appears that you wont throw yours out to be criticized. You have built up an image of yourself in your own mind and its laughable to others. I am 29 and have seen Elway, Montana, Young, Marino, Manning, Moon, Favre live and have seen film/highlights on others and deem Brady to be better than all of those with the exception of Montana, and even thats debatable at this point. For you to say he won mainly because of a kicker and a defense shows you have either no knowledge of football, havent watched the Patriots the last decade or an ulterior motive. By the way, games that end with a kicker making a kick are also called "Game Winning Drives." Everyone who has seen them play knows they have been an offensive juggernaut for the majority of his tenure while throwing to David Patten, Welker, Deion Branch etc. He is 16-6 in the playoffs.

Now how about that list.

Again. My point goes unrefuted and I know why. You never seen Staubach so how can you grade him. That's foolishness.

If you're 29, that's still not strong enough. I'm extremely pragmatic in my approach to life and don't have to "build" up no image. I know what I know. You aint seen enough. You wait for ESPN to give you your opinion. Brady is great, but he is not a top 5 QB of all time. How the hell does a QB get all the credit in winning in a team sport. That is absolutely ridiculous.

But you gotta have a the "right" face for the sport in order for the people to worship it. Again, when you watch those super bowls, defense, clock management, and clutch kicking won 2 of those bowls, There was no QB heroics from Tom Brady, only good efficiency, just the way Bell likes it.

Hell, Bell and Randy got Cassell payed didn't they. New England won 11 games that year too

So still no list.

Your "point" is a poor man's conundrum. Your opinion is just like mine if you haven't seen EVERY quarterback play. Did you witness the entire career of Otto Graham?...so to make a list that includes or leaves him out would be invalid, right? Because you can neither include or leave out someone you haven't seen according to you.

Nobody is waiting for espn, which is why he is number 1 or 2 on my list. He is not on most media outlets. He's even the number 7 QB all time on NFL.com.

ESPN won't tell you their golden goose Brett isn't a top 15 QB. I will.
ESPN won't tell you that TO is a top 3 all-time receiver. I will.

And of course, the Matt Cassell argument. You know they went 18-1 the year before right, and Brady, not Belichick, Bruschi or Viniateri threw for 50 tds

Just an interjection but.....

Winning 11 games without your starting QB is not normal, I'm tired of people just glossing over that shyt. Yeah yeah yeah they didn't make the playoffs and whatever you wanna say, but they won 11 fukking games which 99/100 times gets you in the playoffs if it doesn't win the division.

Hell didn't the Colts win only 2 with their guy, and they'd just been in the SB in 09 with mostly the same team.

You failed because you never heard me say that Otto Graham was not better than whoever, or that Otto Graham is definitely not a top 5 QB. I can't say that at all because I wasn't watching football back then and I have never seen him play.

You're proving my point actually. Your stance is that Staubach can't be better than Brady, and you even haven't seen Brady play

I like how you left out the x factor to give all the credit to Brady. I see what you did there....:scusthov:

Shame on you for not mentioning how and why Brady threw for 50 tds that year, but never did it again.

Saw the list...not bad but obviously I disagree with it. I'm not proving your point because I don't think you have to witness everyone first hand to think someone you have witnessed is better or vice versa. I would rank Jim Brown ahead of 99% of RBs based on what I have obtained even though I never saw him play. Your position on Otto is my exact position on Staubach. I think there are at least 4 QBs better even though I didn't witness him play.

Moss was the man, one of my favorite players actually, and has elevated pretty much every quarterback he has played with career, including Tom. For the record, I can't stand Brady and it sort of burns to stand for him like this. But let's not act like Joe and Steve, both ahead of Tom according to you, weren't throwing to the goat.

I'll agree with this. But you don't think that QB numbers are inflated over the last 10 years due to rule\offensive philosophy changes. That's why Brady, as he good as he is, can't be a top 8 guy to me. He is the ultimate facillitator of a system, and he gets props for that. However, he is masterful at running the system in place, but I rarely see him make that individual effort to make that special play or keep the chains moving like I have seen with the guys I mentioned before him..

I think Jim Brown is so revered because he revolutionized the RB position cause no one before him played the position the way he did. My opinion is that Barry Sanders\Oj Simpson are the best to ever do it but I aint knocking no one who has Jim Brown at the top of their list.

I think since the league devalues RBs now, everyone's opinion has become somewhat off based when it comes to critiquing RBs accurately in today's game and since Jim Brown is so revered, I think everyone puts him at the top based on mainstream opinion. Just my 2 cents

Peter Vescey, you're the same guy who thought I was being racist when I said name things smarter than Denard Robinson so I suggest you sit down when talking about intelligence. The arguments you're making are so asinine that they don't even warrant more of a response than this. The only people in here co-signing you are Manning stans and Patriot haters. If we put up a poll right now you would see how retarded you look. This dude is over here talking about Johnny Unitas? You were old enough to watch him back in 56 huh?

The best part is you tried to front and scream "now go google arguments." You have done absolutely nothing to defend your opinions aside from screaming, but but but old heads would say. To be talking about Johnny U you would have to be a damn old head. Who the hell is older than you? dikk Cheney? Just stop embarrassing yourself. You look like an alias of that clown on SOHH committed to diminishing Brady and talking about his "system" all the time. :ohhh: I haven't seen him, is this your new sn? LMAO.

Wait, I know, you're about to say I have no argument? No, this is the most rehashed garbage on here and it's been deaded, the fact that you tried to bring up this nonsense doesn't warrant much.

@Stone, will you just come out and admit that you're a Manning stan. No hate, but low key you advocate hard boy for him. Then you use that dishonest argument that "but winning 11 games without your starting QB isn't normal." Go ahead and finish that argument and put it in context, you're a smart guy, so I'll let you figure it out.

Hint: 04 Colts, 07 Patriots.

@BarNone I have no trouble admitting that Peyton is probably my favorite player in any sport. But I like to think that that has little bearing in my objectivity.

As far as your hint goes if you wanted to make a point you'd have been better off using the 05 Colts or hell even 07, they were much better teams as a whole.

I'm well aware that the 08 Pats' schedule wasn't as tough as 07, but to still win 11 games is quite a feat.By comparison when we lost Vick in 07 we had one of the most favorable schedules in the league but still only managed to win 3 games.

And Cassel is a bum who has only had one good season so I'm not even gonna acknowledge that.

No, you're missing the point. The point is simple, the Colts most potent offense was in 2004. Matt Cassell walked into a team that had been the greatest offense team of all time. He walked into Randy Moss and Wes Welker.

Somehow, I feel that if Dungy was head coach, seeing how he was able to win games with bums at QB in Tampa that he would find a way to win games in that terrible AFC South with Edge coming off 2000 yards from scrimmage, Reggie, Marvin, Stokley in the slot and Dallas Clark and Marcus Pollard.

You sit here disingenuously compare a Colts team that was bound to miss the playoffs with Peyton by many projections that nearly missed the playoffs the year before WITH Peyton to a team coming off going 18-1 with the easier schedule in the NFL with Moss in the last year of his prime and Welker in his prime with Gaffney still in tact and veterans like Seymour and Harrison around for their last hurrah?

Is that what you're doing and pretending to be objective while doing it?

Matt Cassel is a capable QB, he can manage a team with a good defense and weapons around him. He struggles when he has to win you games.

Thus, why the Patriots missed the playoffs because every game that year (I.E. the Steelers) where we needed an elite QB, he couldn't be that. But even worse, you're sitting and pretending that every Patriots team is the same so that in any given year that you can take off Brady and put in another QB and the record would be the same.

If the Patriots are this machine, why did they win more games in 08 than they won in 05 and other years WITH Brady and Bellicheck? Let's put 2 and 2 together, oh shyt those teams weren't as stacked.

But go ahead and tell me that the 09 Patriots make the playoffs without Tom Brady at QB. Go ahead and tell me that you can replace Tom Brady with anyone back when he led the NFL in passing yards with no Deion Branch or any capable WRs. There's plenty of evidence of what the Patriots would be like without Brady and those 07-08 weapons. I thought you were better than that.
