if people ion the hoods were so open to having life insurance on themselves let alone them kids youd see a lot more life insurance agents in the hoods pushin that shyt cause life insurance one of the highest paid commission jobs on the planet
but you dont.. you hardly see any insurance companies in the hood.. any hood.. you might see some shyt like "Cost U Less" insurance which is for vehicles and shyt for $65 a month or some shyt but its never life insurance because most life insurance companies try to flip their customers into other investments as well.. which is why you see so many insurance companies in suburbs..

Instead of moving out of the neighborhood to actually protect herself she purchases a car? To go to work in the same neighborhood?

This convoluted logic makes no sense. A scam is a scam, regardless whether it's an insurance scam or a crowd funding scam.
My understanding is that the funeral arrangements were paid by a church organization. Therefore the money used from the Go Fund Me campaign, which clearly implies was needed & to be used to bury her son were ill-gotten gains & constitutes fraud.
Whether she needs a car or not is irrelevant. The issue at hand is how she procured the car by deceiving the public using funds which weren't meant for that purpose.
This is an another flawed argument, because the bytch shouldn't have been using the Go Me Fund money in the first place to purchase a car unless
she specifically implied up front that's what the money was going to be utilized for.
Sorry, but it's not my fault that your peoples may not have accomplish anything of substance financially. Whatever my past or present lot in life may be, still doesn't or will never prevent me from recognizing game when I see or come across it.
So what? Just because you had an unfortunate situation take place with your child (hope your son is OK & safe) has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with this woman, nor does it excuse her crooked actions & phony shenanigans. Again, you don't know about her life. She may not have family elsewhere. To her, uprooting on her own may be more scary than staying there. You know nothing of her life other than a couple headlines. If she thought buying a car was the best thing for her at this time then I'm not gonna judge her. Hell wouldn't she need a car to move? What if she had a car last week? Maybe she would have picked up her son and he wouldn't be dead. All this stuff is undoubtedly swirling around in her head.

Alot of the comments got deleted for various reasons but it seems like the funeral home that picked up the cost were originally going to pick up a good portion of the cost and not the entire thing and that's what the request asking 10K was for. And yeah, Karla's friend who started the GoFundMe was only asking for 10K to begin with.

This story is hella hood but I am going to play Devil's advocate for a moment. Just because she "looks" (subjective), talks, and acts like a hood rat doesn't mean she should not have reliable modes of transportation. Public transportation is for immigrants and the impoverished and should be avoided at all costs and used when needed. I don't particularly care for the types of people who ride public transit, besides the elderly. I had the luxury of acquiring and owning vehicles since age 15 and feel every household should have a car if they can afford it. If she bought a reasonably priced quality vehicle and can afford the maintenance in insurance then kudos to that sister. One should not be limited to their socio-economic status and reduced to poverty forever. Why should she catch the bus and walk, especially in shyt ass Chicago? She should have used part of that 54K towards a down payment home away from the hood. RIP Tyshawn.
