Some takeaways from the trailer:

- gameplay looks great. Looks like there's a return of air kombat.

- kameo looks kind of dope. I just hope that its optional

- the stages are SICK.

- the emphasis on Liu Kang's team of defenders (Sub Zero, Scorpion, Kung Lao, Raiden, Kenshi).

- Mileena appears to rule Edenia, but suffers from some kind of an illness. She and Kitana appear to have a love/hate relationship.

- Johnny Cage evil? Did he steal Kenshi's sword?

- We didn't get to see the threats or any real bad guys in the trailer.

- Unconfirmed Shokan who was a kameo, but could be a main fighter considering the lack of a throwback design

I think the Shokan was Goro

Not a bad theory but I do think perhaps whatever major battle he gets involved in eventually costs him his eyes. Calling Mileena "condition " a disease I'm very curious on the story. Mortal Raiden training with the Shaolin and Kung Lao uses a straw hat now. Prebladed
