what makes you think spreewell is broke? because hes not on tv?
he turned down nba deals. didnt he have his own rim company or some chit?
nah, Knight got fired for snapping on some student for calling him "Knight."
That is the most ridiculous logical leap I have ever read. They have plenty of power of millionaires. And Sprewell is now out of the league and BROKE so coach got the last laugh.
Shh happens everyday and as a person in a position of authority I have no problem getting in the buttocks of someone who is plucking up. Catch a friendly during combat? . Yup happens all the time. If you knew anything about the military you would know that people get chewed out everyday. The amount of butt chewings a day is astronomical, yet the amount of "friendly" accidents is low. Poor example. I would tell you to smarten up but what would be the point?
I think more coaches should dig into the players more often. And I don't see anything wrong with the pushing to the sidelines; in football they grab the helmet. As long as you don't try and square off with them, or push them in that way, it's all ok. To me, more players need that, and far too many are coddled growing up.
Also, you have to do it in the heat of the moment or else its useless. What are you gonna do? Run laps? Hell, while on the field, most players tend to forget about the audience anyway, so it's not really an embarrassment.

Miss me with that "it's just part of the game" nonsense. I know a lot of people accept it but that type of behavior isn't ok. That may work for some athletes but I remember how nerve-wracking it was for myself and most of my teammates to get yelled at and then worry about making mistakes. Coaches treating me like garbage didn't make me perform better. I did my best when coaches would correct my mistakes and explain how to do it right, but without all that extra shyt. You can be a tough, hard-nosed coach without treating your players like garbage.
I'm coaching right now and, even though I'm kind of tough on them, I never yell at my kids like that or dress them down in public. If they make mistakes I correct them and keep it moving. You know what happens? They have confidence and they aren't afraid to make mistakes. You can criticize players and help them improve without going overboard and being a dikkhead. These coaches have too much control over their athletes.
If that was my son there is no way I would tolerate anybody talking to him like that. I don't care what title they have. This type of behavior from coaches shouldn't be accepted. I don't care how often it happens. Doesn't make it right.
