Miss me with that "it's just part of the game" nonsense. I know a lot of people accept it but that type of behavior isn't ok. That may work for some athletes but I remember how nerve-wracking it was for myself and most of my teammates to get yelled at and then worry about making mistakes. Coaches treating me like garbage didn't make me perform better. I did my best when coaches would correct my mistakes and explain how to do it right, but without all that extra shyt. You can be a tough, hard-nosed coach without treating your players like garbage.
I'm coaching right now and, even though I'm kind of tough on them, I never yell at my kids like that or dress them down in public. If they make mistakes I correct them and keep it moving. You know what happens? They have confidence and they aren't afraid to make mistakes. You can criticize players and help them improve without going overboard and being a dikkhead. These coaches have too much control over their athletes.
If that was my son there is no way I would tolerate anybody talking to him like that. I don't care what title they have. This type of behavior from coaches shouldn't be accepted. I don't care how often it happens. Doesn't make it right.
whats the record of your team tho
