No one else was looking for Monty for a coaching gig so Detroit outbidded themselves :mjlol:

Salute for finessing billionaires but will instantly become the next Marc Jackson, Dwayne Casey, and Tony Dungy when they are tired of not getting over the hump and would want a wm to do it for them after the black man did the hard work of building that roster and installing a winning culture
:francis:
They didn't outbid themselves. Gores just kept adding stacks on the table until he could get a "yes".

Honestly for a job like this you need to get as much money as possible, dude in Houston probably would’ve gotten more money if he didn’t have that scandal in Boston

Houston, Detroit, spurs, atl, hornets, pelicans, pacers, Dallas, thunder, magic are qtough jobs with emphasis on development

Monty by all accounts a stand up human being with a beautiful family, always worth celebrating a breh like that running a dumbass desperate billionaire's pockets. :salute: While still far from perfect he def leveled up majorly as a coach from his start in NOLA to his run in PHX. Hopefully he's learned even more from that time coaching an actual "contender" to make another leap, he is going to need it to find success with that Pistons roster he's inheriting.
Serious question. What would he need to learn aside from the natural growth that comes with experience? To me, his lesson learned from Phoenix is make sure your training staff is legit. He’s still have the job in Phoenix if it wasn’t for injuries :yeshrug:

Will never hate on an upstanding black man getting generational wealth:salute:especially after how he lost his wife and everything

Dudes talking bout "this is a bad idea", like they're the ones paying for it:mjlol:
Yeah he can share his “generational wealth” with his white wife

Does Monty Williams look at Weisman as a player he can use to prove the lack of development with Ayton wasn’t on him? I think Weisman may have been a small selling point.

I mean you have Jalen Duren, Cade Cunningam, and Ivey. It likely was a consideration. I’m more curious to see what they can do with their free agent money.

Good for Monty. There's reports that he wanted to take the year off and spend more time with his kids but it's hard to refuse that money. Last year he got a 7 million a year multi year extension from the Suns. He's still getting that money too:wow:.

In Phoenix, it was championship or bust pressure. In Detroit, he's getting Lebron Miami Heat money to win some regular season games.
