Just asking: Is Rick Pitino the best coach in the history of college basketball?

He def my fav college coach top 5. Top 1 or 2 in his ability to get programs righted.
He isn’t the best coach ever, but there has never been a coach as good at turning a program around. He can goto any program in this country and leave then ten folds better.
I was gonna type the same thing.. exactly

He my fav coach tho..

Louisville has finally bounced back.. but I wouldnt have fired Pitino. Just fast forward, look where college sports is now with NIL. I would have rode that out and kept him. Nobody even cares about that investigation no more

no....

coack k
knight
wooden
rupp

all have better resumes
Knight, Wooden and Rupp succeeded when college basketball was basicially a few programs could succeed. Shyt like Nebraska football back in the day. Like 50's and 60 Celtics. I dont value their accomplishments like that

He has no arguments lol, he's not one of the greatest college basketball coaches. He has like what...two NCAA championships? Not enough.
He's not one of the greatest college coaches because he "only" has two championships??
Dean Smith has 2
Denny Crum has 2
John Thompson has 1
Jim Boeheim has 1
Tom Izzo has 1
Jerry Tarkanian has 1
Nolan Richardson has 1
Bill Self has 2
Billy Donovan has 2
Bob Huggins has 0
Lute Olsen has 1
Judd Heathcoate has 1
Al Macguire has 1
So youre telling me that these guys are not amongst the greatest college coaches of all time?

The thing as well about pitino is he wins with whatever

He'll win with a star studded roster, he'll win with a bunch of transfers, hell he'd prob win with 5 slow cacs

Look at sj johns roster

rj louis was playing for umass a few years ago
zuby ejiofor could not get off bench in Kansas
kadary richmond on his 3rd school
deivon smith his 4th school
aaron scott was on north texas last year
