Do anybody talk about the movies/stand ups that Mo’nique has done recently? Only time I see her name is when she’s talking about shyt like this. Anytime I see people talk about Mo’nique’s acting they’re bringing up her old shyt.. I still think she should’ve took the 5, dif a kick ass standup and bring in mad viewers so she could get paid more money for another standup. That’s if she’s not shooting it herself.

She's closer to Chris Tucker than Chris Rock and Chapelle though
. Both are scene stealers in movies and Monique has been that in t.v shows as well. But she hasn't shown she can create a classic standup that will be viewed over and over again for years to come smh. And she hasn't shown she can gross the same money at theatres like Rock,Chapelle or Schumer in a lead role. She could have asked for more if she wanted to,but it's a bad look and ruins her credibilty when she decides to go on the attack when negotiations don't work in her favor. I'm not a Monique fan, so I'm not arguing about whether she's funnier than Amy, or deserves the same amount as Dave, Rock and Amy. It's all about what's Netflix's criteria. If you believe what Monique said, they are not applying their criteria consistently or fairly. We all know that talent alone doesn't equate to your success and opportunities in life, especially in Hollywood and especially when you're Black. And a person's opinion and "gut feelings" will play a role in how much they're willing to offer you
Nobody that's caping for Netflix knows what their critieria is, so how could anyone argue that Monique is wrong? she's reacting to what Netflix said, while her critics are making up shyt that neither Netflix or Monique said

There is no other platform that will give Monique 500k and crazy exposure like Netflix. I get that she feels she is worth more but boycotting Netflix is like canceling her career. She can do some YouTube shyt or hit up Hulu or whatever, but she’s gonna make less than the Netflix offer and that shyt will get a fraction of the viewers.
This generation isn’t checking for her AT ALL...and if she would have killed that Netflix special she would have gained a huge following overnight. She needs smarter people on her team to catch her before she makes these emotional responses on social media.
