True. But you made an offer to DMX first. Why? so it has to be more to the criteria than being hot right now. Do you apply that criteria consistently?Im pretty sure they all tour

lol. I know breh, I was just using your example within the same context of MoniqueI didn't make an offer to anybody first . Just using their name as examples.
I listened to the Sway interview and it did give me her perspective on things which I respect and understand more but that doesn't mean I agree with how she does business and her strategies. She also said she is the most decorated comic alive or something which I also don't really agree at all but gives a glimpse into her ego. I do think her interview is worth watching just for the history behind the other situations.
I also don't know if her husband is her best representation. Why couldn't she get Chris Rock to help her out maybe like he did for Chappelle?
I was just watching the Seinfeld coffee/cars with comedians show episode with Bill Burr and Seinfeld was saying how execs don't even really care about the actual projects or shows sometimes. They just want to get excited about the meetings they are having and say the hype behind it all and feel like they are doing something big. They like to talk about how great their meetings are and feel good about them. These guys aren't really thinking about racial equality and legacy. They just want to be on top of the big events and shows and say they did it. (Aside from actual business numbers/ projections)
Amy did the same thing, why's there a problem now?She seems like a real a$$hole to work with. If she felt she was worth more, she could have just tried to negotiate a better deal. Just because someone is making more, you don't know what type of negotiations they had to make to get there. She instead is trying to blow the whole spot up and want people to boycott.? Nah. That's an immature way to go about things, imo.
Amy asked people to boycott Netflix?Amy did the same thing, why's there a problem now?
While negotiating, she blew up their spot regarding discrimination, then got what she wantedAmy asked people to boycott Netflix?
Amy did the same thing, why's there a problem now?
Honestly, I don't really like female standup comedians...especially overrated ones like Amy. And I usually don't support most celebrities, especially Black celebrities with their selective Black activism. But all celebrities have an ego, regardless of raceNetflix is trashing its rating system after Schumer special tanked
Amy Schumer 's special was bad and maybe Netflix regrets overpaying her and doesn't want to openly admit it. Amy Schumer had a hot run and right now is Mo'Nique on any type of streak at all? I actually hate Amy Schumer and her type of comedy and I wish she would go away for awhile. Also, nobody is going to spend big money on an aging athlete past his prime no matter how many rings he or she has if the team owner doesn't believe in them. That goes for all sports.
To answer her ego thing, she said most decorated comedian for male AND female. Yea Pryor respected her and I respect that too for that time but nobody TODAY is really talking about Mo'Nique when it comes to top comedians ever. She isn't even close to Chappelle. Nobody is right now. He's killing the stand up game.
Her husband sounds like he is right but too abrasive for business. He might win arguments for her but he isn't getting good deals for her. Doing good business isn't about winning debates and comparing yourself to other peoples deals. You still need to get them to buy in to your product and persona in the end.
I still support Mo'Nique over Schumer. I fukking HATE Schumer and I wish she never got that Netflix deal.

I thought about Joan Rivers being a female with a career like Martin and Pryor, but in some ways she surpassed them and many other ways she didn't. Monique has a legit argument about her career paralleling the success of Pryor and Martin
There 3 things Netflix could've done:
1) They could've offered her a M or two or three
2) (to your credit) If Netflix is ashamed of over pricing Amy, then admit it to squash Monique's attempt at using Amy's situation as an example OR
3) justify your criteria for offering standup specials
Once Netflix start doing the juelz hand gestures and noticed that Moniques' team wasn't for the BS, then Netflix ended negotiations, not Monique. Netflix couldn't justify their criteria, which is what Monique's agent/team rightfully asked for
Maybe her husband is fullshyt, is bad negotiator and maybe they do need a new agent. But if we believe what Monique said, then whomever the agent is, should rightfully ask Netflix to justify such a low offer. Which her husband didyes, I agree Netflix does seem shady in the end if her story is true. Netflix is now becoming it's own Hollywood with all the power they have. However, I still think she could use another agent who won't press Netflix so harshly right away. You have to get people to like you...not feel pressured to buy in to your demands. She has no real leverage in all of this.
Is daredevil on par with the punisher?
Last kingdom was ok. Haven't indulged in stranger things or black mirror yet
Those last 3 episodes were piffDaredevil season 1, yes
First half of season 2 was good. I loved it before they get into the mystical stuff but it's still good.
Frank Castle DEFINITELY was the best part of season 2 though
