I agree. I went back and watched it when they put it on Netflix and had to stop because he was so sexist towards moesha. Even dee thought he was doing too much and that wasn’t even her kid. Then the whole thing with Dorian wtf

I never knew that. See. That sh*t is realistic. I get people don’t want to see black families portrayed poorly on tv but at the same time they kept it real. I guess too real lol. Moesha didn’t know what was going on in her parents marriage. They could’ve just said they came close to divorcing, he cheated, he reconciled with Moe’s mom and the woman never told him she had a son. Boom. Done.

On the real James from good times let Florida keep the family in poverty and from golden opportunities constantly. So if he would have put his foot down and gone into the dope and numbers game like he should've, the Evans family probably get out the projects sooner and he doesn't die tragically out there grinding for pennies out of state.. so yeah James Evans because he ain't tell his wife to fall back.

Yep, She realized where the show was headed and bounced. She stated that it never made sense because he was such a standup guy who would've never done anything like that. There was nothing wrong with him being uncle Frank to Dorian. I remember seeing knuckleheads calling him a bad dad because he had the audacity to have rules in his house, keep in mind he never ever whooped his kids he just grounded them which is somehow worse.

So your first instinct is to sell drugs? He got offered a job in Alaska for 1 year that would've paid him $500 a week, and in the 70s that was a shytload of money. Florida didn't want him to be gone for a year, and because of her selfishness he ended up being gone forever
